I got a lot of comments on the colours of this outfit on Instagram, and then I realized myself that I do look rather autumnal. I’m not one to really embrace the end of summer. By now you guys should know that I am a summer baby/lover through and through. The end of summer is usually a time of mourning for me lol. It generally takes me until the spring to really warm up to another season, BUT I think I’m okay with fall this year! I’ve been super drawn to the colour orange and all the shades of brown. I think I might be more shocked than you guys but I’m even going on walks and enjoying the crunch of the fallen leaves underneath my feet. It’s quite nice!
Although it’s going to be a while until it’s summer again, I’ll take autumn/fall. If we didn’t have fall here in Canada, I wouldn’t be able to wear this gorgeous sweater! For today’s outfit that I’m sharing, I wore this really fuzzy and adorable cardigan/sweater from Free People. It’s called the “Allegra” cardigan. Selena Gomez actually wore it in white last year and I’ve kind of wanted it ever since lol. This year we got a ton of really fun colours and this rusty orange one just called to me. It’s also the softest cardigan I’ve ever worn. It’d be weird but I think I could pet myself all day if I didn’t have some self-restraint. I’m telling you, it’s really that soft! It’s also super versatile, you can wear it by itself or unbutton it and use it as a layering piece!
To pair with this cardigan, I also wore a skirt (the “Moving On” mini skirt) from Free People. When we received this skirt at our location, I can’t pinpoint what it was about it but I just had to have it. Why? It looks so luxe! I think it’s perfect for this fall and winter season. It’s also, dare I say it, kind of giving me Emily In Paris vibes (don’t kill me for making another EIP reference)! With black tights and some cute booties? SO CUTE. Speaking of Paris, I also had to add another beret. I hope you’re all ready to see my entire beret collection this season ha-ha, because there’s a lot more where this came from! This specific beret is a new addition. It’s this plush beret by the brand Kangol, but I ordered it from Free People’s online website. The more I’m writing, the more I’m realizing that a lot of this outfit is from work. I’ve been working for Free People for a year now so I guess this was bound to happen. These boots that I’m wearing are also from work. They’re by Dr. Marten and I absolutely love them. This is my first pair of Dr. Marten boots because I’ve never been able to find a pair that fit! These were returned in my size and I felt like it was a sign – a gift from the heavens! Seriously though, I was super excited about them. I almost slept with them when I got home.
Some other accessories that I added to this look are my current favourite earrings from Mejuri (@mejuri on Instagram), and my beloved pink quilted Nunoo bag or what I like to call her, Frankie (yes, I name my bags).
TOP/SWEATER – Free People
SKIRT – Free People
HAT – Kangol at Free People
BAG – Nunoo
JEWELRY – Mejuri
BOOTS – Dr. Marten at Free People
That’s it for my autumnal outfit of the day! It’s sad to say but I think this might be the last outfit of the year with exposed legs. I mean, I’d say maybe over the holidays but I don’t think the holiday season is going to be the same this year. What do you guys think? What are you expecting or what do you have planned for the holiday season (it’s coming so fast!)? Let me know in the comment section below!
I hope you’re all safe and doing well!
Until next time,
– Tiny ❤
