Hi friends! Before I go on about what I am currently loving at the moment, I want to share something I’ve been thinking about lately. I’ve realized that not everyone can relate to all this Fashion/Style stuff that I blog about. I know occasionally I do a Book Review, but I think I want to write about some more relatable stuff as well. I’ve been thinking a lot about expanding the type of content that I want to share on my blog, and I think that I want to do travel aspirations, restaurants/places I’ve visited in Toronto, apartment décor, etc. Maybe some days I’ll just blog about my thoughts or feelings? I want to be able to post more frequently, like almost on a daily basis. So yeah, I’m not going to constrict all my content around Fashion and Style. I mean, I still LOVE Fashion and Style to death but I know a lot of you probably don’t feel the same. I wanna connect with ALL of you! SO yeah, that’s what I’m going to do for the next little bit. We’ll see how it goes!
Now on to today’s post. Currently Loving: Dresses Over Pants. If you don’t already know, I live in Canada. Winters are terrible, and apparently don’t seem to want to end! Seriously though, we had days where it was sunny and like 14 degrees Fahrenheit and now it’s back to -7 degrees. Global warming sucks. Anyway, what I’m trying to get at is that I’ve been itching to wear my dresses but it’s been too danggg cold. The weather has been all over the place and therefore the only solution has been to wear dresses over pants. The bonus to all of this is that it’s actually trending right now! Look at all these pictures below!

I actually really like the look of skinny jeans with a dress on top. I’m definitely going to use this trend to my advantage until Spring actually arrives. What do you guys think of the look? Hot or not? I would love to hear your opinions in the comment section below :))
Happy Monday! Cheers to a new week/new beginning! Hope you’re starting your week off right Xx
I don’t know what it is, maybe it’s Alexa Chung (I’m obsessed with her), but I’ve been really drawn to the look of a straw bag. If you don’t know me, I love bags/purses. So maybe it’s really no surprise that I love this new trend. I’ve seen photos with women with different versions of straw bags and I think their outfits look great! It looks so cute and chic! I feel like it looks stylish. I love what it adds to an outfit and I’m really contemplating on getting one myself. The big question is: is it worth it? I mean, I like the look of it and I’m sure depending on the style I get it, it could probably carry a lot of my stuff..
But then again, it’s definitely just a “trendy” piece. No one is going to be carrying straw purses come Fall/Winter. This is definitely just a new look for the Summer, and may or may not get more attention next year.
Therefore, I’m torn! Do I love the trend enough to get one? Or should I just pass and put my money towards something that will always be in style?
My other alternative is finding one at a thrift store. This way I get the satisfaction of having a cute, trendy, and stylish piece, but I don’t break the bank!
Here are some pictures of the trend. Let me know what you think by leaving a comment below! Do you love the trend or hate it??
That’s all for today! I hope you’re all enjoying your Wednesday (:
What is a #GirlBoss? What does it take to become a #GirlBoss? Just recently I have finished reading Sophia Amouruso’s book “#GirlBoss” (I was up until 3am), and I absolutely loved it. LIKE LOOOVVVVVED IT (no exaggeration). Her writing style and words of wisdom are beyond inspiring, making this book a must-read for all aspiring fashion students/people. Heck! Even if you aren’t crazy about fashion but are interested on how to be successful in the business world, you HAVE to read this book! Sophia’s story behind her amazing success is far from glamorous, and it was definitely far from easy (she was a 17 year-old dumpster eater for Pete’s sake!)! However, after reading, I’ve learned a number of great ways to help me fulfill my dreams. Sophia made it clear to me that hard work and compromise is rewarded. Her story and the things she had to say were so relatable that I feel empowered after reading it. She gives me hope and the motivation to try to “be the best”. I really don’t want to give too much away because I’m really hoping you guys will read this book too. Sophia and other inspirational #Girlbosses (like Leandra Medine from Man Repeller) give advice on a few things like how to manage your money, stay positive, and achieve success. After reading this book all I want to do is work hard and keep busy!
You all have to read it, I highly recommend it 🙂
