Hey friends! We’re fast approaching the end of the month, so I’m back with nothing other than another Inspiration post. I’m sorry I haven’t mixed things up in a while. I’ve wanted to focus on my blog and create some new content but with working in retail and it being the holiday season, I’ve been exhausted. This past Black Friday weekend really wore me down – and it wasn’t even that busy! I did work all three days of Black Friday weekend, and in between I took a road trip to my hometown, so I really just needed some rest. If you work in retail and understand how busy and tiring it is, comment below! How did your Black Friday go?
Anyways, I’ll stay on track here. So today’s post is my inspiration for the month of November. You guys know how these work. If you haven’t visited my blog before (welcome!!), I post a series of pictures that have inspired/influenced my style for every month. For November, I’ve been loving sweaters, teddy bear coats, mom jeans, more fishnets, lots of colour, slip dresses layered over t-shirts, and “nibbled” tees (I’ll explain in a bit). Oh, and of course the Olsen twins. I’m definitely still loving them. Just to update you all, I still haven’t found the perfect croc textured bag for me. If you’ve seen one that you think I might like, bless your soul. Please share it in the comment section below!!! xx
To get into more detail, I’ve just been loving being cozy and looking stylish while I’m at it. I bought this teddy bear-esque coat from THE GAP and I’m absolutely in love with it (check it out on Instagram!). I could fall asleep on the bus wearing it. It’s THAT cozy. I’ve also been loving bright colours, or just anything that’s not black or grey. Winter is a “blah” time for most people. I think black is definitely a go to colour for this season, but I like colour! Colour makes me happy. For example, on days that need brightening, I’ve been gravitating towards my hot pink trousers. “Nibbled” tees are these lightly distressed t-shirts that we sell at Topshop. I’ve bought one in almost every colour. They go with everything and I love the fit & shape of them! At one point I thought they were called “moth-bitten” tees. You can probably Google them with either name! I might actually do a blog post on them and how I’ve been styling them.
As always, to better understand what I’ve been rambling about. Take a look at the inspiration photos below!
There you have it! November’s Inspiration. I can’t believe it’s almost December! Where has the year gone? AHH. Christmas is in like 3 weeks and I’ve bought one Christmas present. I hope you’re all ahead of the game and not like me!
Until next time,
Hey guysss! It’s nice to be back. I just bought a new laptop yesterday and felt super motivated to get a blog post together. So here it is! (Also, HAPPY CANADIAN THANKSGIVING!)
These photos that I’m about to share were taken a month or so ago. It’s already starting to feel like Fall, so it makes me a little sad to look at them now. (I miss Summer!!)
But I’m also ready for all the cozy sweaters Fall brings. I’m already starting to layer up and wear my heavier jackets – it’s crazy how fast the seasons are changing! Sooner than we know it, Winter will be here… ugh.
Anyways, I’m back in my hometown with a new laptop and some free time, so I thought I’d share these photos that I have been wanting to post for a while now. My tablet that I normally used for blogging decided to stop working on me. The touchscreen died and the keyboard would pick and choose when it would want to respond to my typing. It was quite annoying. All of that is over now (thank goodness), so I’ll get on with these photos! (Jsyk they were taken by Deniz again! <333) They were taken downtown Toronto at Honest Ed’s. It’s a discount store that was opened in 1948 and is unfortunately, going to be closed down sometime in the near future. It’s sad that such a historic building is no longer going to be around. It’s definitely more of a tourist-y kind of place but it’s still something I think most people in Toronto have experienced. If not, maybe they should! Here’s a quick glimpse of a center alley of the building (it’s riveting stuff lol).

Those are the pictures – I hope you like them! I know it hasn’t been unreasonably long since my tablet died, but I feel a little rusty atm. Is it just me? Anyways, glad to be back (again). I hope my fellow Canadians are all having a wonderful Thanksgiving! I am definitely thankful to have you guys who think my blog is worth reading. I appreciate it a lot :))
(Happy 9th Birthday to my little sister, Anikah xx)
Until next time,
Hi everyone! I’m back with a post that is all about one pair of shoes. If that doesn’t tell you how much I love them, I don’t know what else will ha-ha. These are my favourite shoes of Summer 2016. Why? Well, let me tell you.
Let me start off by saying that my feet are tiny. I have baby feet. I am lucky if a woman’s size 5 shoe fits me, and if that doesn’t fit, I usually buy the kid’s version. These gorgeous blue suede mules are from Topshop. If you guys don’t already know, I work there Full Time now. I’ve been an employee for almost two years and not once did I ever find a pair of shoes that fit me perfectly. Of course, I’ve bought shoes from Topshop before but I had to buy insoles to make them fit properly. The smallest shoe size that Topshop carries in Canada is typically a 5.5. When I saw these mules, they came in size 4.5! So obviously, I felt like I had to buy them because never again will this happen. Like I’m telling you, the fact that we had a pair in a size 4.5 is a HUGE rarity. So yeah, I bought them. Duh. And I love them. Double Duh.
I wear them with almost anything. You would assume that because they’re blue, which is not necessarily a neutral colour, they wouldn’t go with much. Like I’ve said, they actually go well with a lot. I love pairing them with denim. I love how they can make a boring outfit more fun. They’re a great little pop of colour and definitely different from the rest of the shoes in my closet. ALSO, they’re comfortable! I can do a full shift with these guys on and it will be bearable.
It’s sad that Summer has come to an end and I probably won’t wear them again for a while. But I hope you guys love these shoes as much as I do! If not, maybe you’ve enjoyed my passion for them? I am very passionate about these shoes and I can’t wait to wear them again next year.
Hope you guys are having a fabulous Monday!
Until next time,
– A ❤
Why hello there! I’m excited to say that I’m back with something different for you guys! I teamed up with a few friends, found a colorful location downtown Toronto, and we took some fun pictures that I’d love to share. This specific location had the cutest crates in a few different colours. They ended up being the perfect backdrop. We also agreed on wearing denim and white. You all know how much I love that combination ;D The photographers behind these lovely photos are Mark Gomez and Jasmine Cabanilla. Also joining us was my fellow Topshop/Topman associate, Will Prowse. I’ll link their Instagram accounts down below! Definitely check them out!
Now take a look at these pictureessss!

Happy hump day, and until next time!
Hello lovely human beings of the internet! The end of the month is here and I can’t let the month end without an inspiration post!! That just wouldn’t be right.
For the month of July, I have been loving frayed denim jeans, belts, straw bags (obv, if you’ve read that blog post!), denim skirts, and statement earrings. I’ve also been loving the look of a button-up blouse tucked into looser jeans. (“Mom” jeans, essentially.) Overall, I’m really obsessed with the “model off-duty” look. To be honest, I always have been but I just recently have been applying the concept to my own personal style. If you don’t know what I mean by “model off-duty”, I mean the simple compilation of basics but somehow still coming out looking stylish af. It just seems effortless but still trendy. Maybe a better way to describe it is the “throw on and go” technique. It literally looks like that sometimes, and I love it. She grabs a shirt, a pair of jeans, cute shoes, statements earrings, and heads right on out the door! This is also part of the reason why I’ve been loving statement earrings lately. My outfits were so simple that a statement pair of earrings really helped balance everything/polished the look.
Perhaps I’m not best at describing it, but these photos will help you to better understand what I’m babbling about. If you still don’t get it, I’ll accept that I’m a freak.
So that’s everything for today! Thank you for stopping by and listening to my nonsense! Hope you come again ha-ha!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend, everybody!
Until next time,
I don’t know what it is, maybe it’s Alexa Chung (I’m obsessed with her), but I’ve been really drawn to the look of a straw bag. If you don’t know me, I love bags/purses. So maybe it’s really no surprise that I love this new trend. I’ve seen photos with women with different versions of straw bags and I think their outfits look great! It looks so cute and chic! I feel like it looks stylish. I love what it adds to an outfit and I’m really contemplating on getting one myself. The big question is: is it worth it? I mean, I like the look of it and I’m sure depending on the style I get it, it could probably carry a lot of my stuff..
But then again, it’s definitely just a “trendy” piece. No one is going to be carrying straw purses come Fall/Winter. This is definitely just a new look for the Summer, and may or may not get more attention next year.
Therefore, I’m torn! Do I love the trend enough to get one? Or should I just pass and put my money towards something that will always be in style?
My other alternative is finding one at a thrift store. This way I get the satisfaction of having a cute, trendy, and stylish piece, but I don’t break the bank!
Here are some pictures of the trend. Let me know what you think by leaving a comment below! Do you love the trend or hate it??
That’s all for today! I hope you’re all enjoying your Wednesday (:
Another outfit post is here to share! This is the outfit that I wore and these photos were taken before we left to eat pho, get bubble tea, and see the Canada Day fireworks. The fireworks that were CANCELLED that is. It was SO ANNOYING to have them cancelled due to high winds, but I get it (clearly not over it though lol).
I knew it would get cooler at night so I used it as an excuse to wear this camo shacket, that I just added to my collection, for the first time. To be honest with you, I know this piece is called a “shacket” but I’m not 100% familiar with where it gets its name. I just know that it looks like a utility jacket, and is part of that army/utility dressing trend right now.. but that’s about it. Is it shaggy and jacket combined? Who knows.
I wanted to feature this green camo shacket so I paired it with an entire grey ensemble underneath and broke it up with my favourite white Nike AF1s. This is definitely a more relaxed, “comfort over style” kind of look but I think the jacket really saves my butt style-wise. I’m actually really surprised I didn’t already own a utility jacket. When I was trying it on in Topshop (surprise!), a friend was like, “it looks like you should already own it”. And that was that lol.
Now take a good look at these outfit photos! (Thank you, Jay!)
