OOTW: Mar.6- Mar.11

I did it. I documented my outfits for AN ENTIRE WEEK!! I’ll admit, instead of 7 outfits I only have 6… but that’s because I tend to wear nothing but pyjamas on at least one of my days off. Everyone needs a lazy day right? I’m sure you don’t care about my oversized high school gym t-shirt and Hello Kitty pyjama pants lol. Besides, every other day I managed to take a picture of my outfit and I’m quite proud that I found the time to do it! There were times where I thought I was going to be late for work because of it, but I was never late! Thank God! This was fun and if you guys would like me to do it again, I would love to! I think I’d prefer doing it again when I don’t have to layer up though. Most days I had to put on the shoes I wanted to wear with the outfit, take the picture, then take them off, pack them in my work bag, put on my winter accessories and boots, then run out the door! A lot of time wasted. In the Summer, I could snap the photo and go! Oh Summer. How I miss thee..

Here are the outfits I wore last week, with a description of what I’m wearing and where I got everything!

– SUNDAY, MARCH 5th, 2017 –

I wanted a cozy outfit to start my week. When I think cozy, I think of a sweater or a hoodie. I recently got this hoodie on sale for $10 and really wanted to wear it. Of course I didn’t just want to wear a hoodie and jeans (boring!!), so I put my own spin to it. I added a dress as an extra layer (you’ll know I love this look if you read my last blog post!), some modern dangly earrings, and some heeled sock boots to dress it up a bit more. I didn’t want to look too casual!! :p Anyways, this is definitely one of my favourite outfits that I wore last week. It’s different and for some reason I felt comfortable and more myself in this outfit. I don’t know about you guys but if I’m feeling my outfit, I tend to be in a better mood. Am I the only one?

[ Everything I’m wearing is from Topshop, besides the earrings. The earrings are from Free People and are my latest obsession! ]

Another thing you guys should know about me (because I did a blog post on this too!!) is that I LOVE STRIPES! This outfit was dedicated to my love for stripes. “Go big or go home”, right? I combined horizontal and vertical stripes. I think this pairing works because the stripes vary in thickness and the colours contrast well. The stripes were a big enough statement so I kept the shoes white and just threw on my leather jacket. I was a little hesitant leaving my house this way to be honest, but I got great feedback that day! I’m definitely going to experiment with stripes more.

[ Everything is from Topshop, besides my sneakers. I got my sneakers from Foot Locker, they’re Nike Air Force Ones. ]

TUESDAY, MARCH 7th, 2017

I had this day off. If we’re being serious, I just threw this outfit together before going out to grab some donuts from my favourite bakery down the road. I didn’t shower or anything. I tossed it together, stuck glasses on my face, then took off! When I got back, it was back into my pyjamas for me lol. This look is probably one of my go-to’s. Mom jeans, a plain top, and a statement jacket = good to go!

[ All the clothes are from Topshop. Glasses are from BonLook. Sneakers are white (actually, not-so-white) Converse high-tops from SoftMoc. ]

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 8th, 2017

After a day off, I always come back to work feeling “fresh”. I feel like my mind has relaxed and all my creative juices are flowin’, hence the vibrant outfit. This is bold. This is a lot of color. But like I said in my “SS17 Trend Guide”, fuchsia is getting all the love this season. I LOVE my fuchsia trousers. I don’t know why, but I feel like the red and purple compliment fuchsia pretty well. Don’t you think? Maybe because fuchsia is kind of a mixture of the two? Idk ha-ha. Also, do we like my white frilly socks? I thought they were a cute touch!

[ Everything is from Topshop, but my loafers are Jeffrey Campbell from Duet. ]

THURSDAY, MARCH 9th, 2017 –

A write off lol. (Pyjama Day)

FRIDAY, MARCH 10th, 2017

(Happy Birthday, Dad!) This was my ‘Fashion Friday’ outfit. We had to come to work dressed as one of the three trend departments that we have at Topshop. They’re named after girls. There’s the “Pretty Girl”, “Urban Girl”, and the “Stylist Girl”. Each girl is different. I had to dress like the Pretty Girl. It’s basically a department with all our ruffles, embroidered denim, bell sleeves, and floral dresses. Have to say I love how my hair turned out this day. Wavy and kind of “natural-looking”? I achieved my hair goals and it probably won’t ever happen again :(( Also! I love my boots.

[ Everything is from Topshop (go figure!), but the tights are a random brand from Shoppers Drug Mart. ]

SATURDAY, MARCH 11th, 2017

Last day of the week, so I decided to wear a fancy piece/go out with a “bang!” This is a $125 dress that I got for $20. I normally wouldn’t gravitate towards a piece like this because it’s long and I’m afraid of my making myself look any shorter, but I went for it because I loved this mix of patterns! I also don’t have ANYTHING like this in my wardrobe. I think this dress will be great in the Summer. I could throw on a floppy hat or some sneakers. I could wear it with Birkenstocks. I could dress it up too! I could wear strappy heels or some wedges! It makes me want to buy more dresses like this!! Either way, I will definitely get more than my $20 worth from this dress, so I am verrry pleased with this purchase :))

[ EVERYTHING IS FROM TOPSHOP (I’m sorry lol!) ]

OK! Those are my outfits that I wore last week. I hope you found them interesting? It feels a little weird sharing photos of what I wore everyday for the past week. YOU CAN SEE A BIT OF MY ROOM. *gasp* This type of post is a little bit more personal because you get to really see my style/taste. I really hope you guys like it!

I also hope that you’re having a great start to your week! Happy Monday, everybody 🙂

Until next time,

Wardrobe Additions: October

I am super excited to share with you guys a new type of blog post! I was trying to come up with more ideas for blog posts and when I thought of this one, I was shocked I had never thought of it before! Honestly though, am I dumb? I’m a fashion nut and shop-aholic, why would I NOT share the new pieces I add to my wardrobe? I mean, I add more than enough clothes to my wardrobe in a month that I might as well share them. So here are this month’s finds!

For the month of October I really focused on adding some new Fall pieces to my wardrobe. I think I may have purchased more than what I am about to show you, but I can’t quite remember. I don’t know if this means that I have a more serious problem than I thought, but I think this could be the majority of it all. I went shopping the other day and over the weekend, so I feel like I have enough to share anyway ha-ha. Mind you, all of it is thrifted!! *proud smile* I didn’t drop huge amounts of $$$ on this stuff. I’m a college graduate with debt up to her ears after all.

Just take a look at my new additions below! Also, if you wanna see some of them on me, check out my Instagram! (www.instagram.com/tinyintoronto)

Overall I think I bought 7 thrifted pieces. Six tops and one dress. I usually only buy tops because it’s such a difficult task trying to find me bottoms in a thrift store. Thank goodness the oversized look is in or I wouldn’t have found as much – seriously. I did get lucky and found some XS pieces and the dress I found FIT ME LIKE A GLOVE. It was a moment to remember.

Let me talk a bit about each piece. In the first photo, I have a camel long sleeve polo/button-up thing, a velour mock neck thing, and a lace-y/tie-up blouse thing. Wow, what great descriptions. The camel colored piece looks awesome underneath my denim pinafores/dresses and also paired with skirts! It’s an XS and I think it fits me quite nicely! The velour mock neck top is definitely what I was looking for/talking about in my velvet post. This is the piece that I’m going to use to experiment with textures and “velvet”. I can picture this brown velour top with black skinnies or my pleather skirt. It’s gonna be fun. Thirdly, there’s this tie-up/lace-y thing that gives me solid Free People vibes. I think it really emulates that boho-chic look. It’s also an XS and fits me quite nicely :)) I’ll probably get most of my wear out of it during the summer though.

The next four pieces are pretty interesting as well. There’s a Manny Pacquiao graphic tee that I love (*filipino pride*), a floral/Fall printed/velvet textured t-shirt, a vintage button-up with a sick print and sick sleeves to match (check Instagram!), and last but not least, the traditional oriental dress (THAT FITS ME LIKE A GLOVE). The Manny Pacquiao graphic tee I’ve already worn. I think it’s going to be that t-shirt that I gravitate towards the most on my days off. It’s just cool and chill, and I like it lol. The floral printed t-shirt covered in Fall colours is another one of those texture-testing pieces. Probably will look great paired with mom jeans or something. The vintage button-up with the sick print is one of my new favourite blouses. I think I can tuck it in into literally anything I want: trousers, skirts, jeans, dresses/pinafores – anything. The sleeves are an ultimate bonus! They’re kind of bell-shaped? Think “pirate”. Last but not least, THE DRESS. Check Instagram because I still can’t believe how well it fit me. I was walking towards the cashier and this dress caught my eye. It only took seconds after seeing it for me to snatch it up and run back to the change room. The lady working in the change room probably thought I was a freak (I was grinning and kind of bouncing with the dress in my hands lol). I LOVE IT. I had been subconsciously looking for a dress like this, and low and behold, I found one.

So there you have it! My first installment of my “Wardrobe Additions” series. I’m not going to lie, this is my second time writing this post and I am little unimpressed/annoyed. I blame my internet. Or maybe WordPress didn’t want to save it for me. IDK. However, I am still quite excited to share these posts within the upcoming months. I have no clue whether or not it’s going to remain a monthly thing though. What if I have such an amazing shopping trip that I don’t want to wait until the end of the month to share it? I might just go crazy and share it then and there! :O

I do have another project up my sleeve. Keep those peepers open for my first vlog in a very, very, verrrry long time. It’s SUPER amateur, but it was fun and I wanna share it! Stay tuned!

I hope you’re all having a good day!

Until next time,

Choker Obsessed

“Chokers are the new flower crowns.” I’ve been reading that a lot over the internet. Do I believe it? Not really (ha-ha). For one, I was never really a fan of flower crowns. Secondly, I believe chokers are SO MUCH BETTER. Chokers are like the new.. I can’t come up with anything clever, but I’m telling you they’re 50x better than a flower crown. They’re perfect for when you need a little “oomph!” to your outfit.

This post is simply a glimpse of my choker collection. These pictures were taken by my super awesome roommate, Jay and I love how they turned out! He used soft lighting and did a WAY better job than what I could have done. Oh! – Jay also has a blog! I’ll leave the link below if you wanna check it out!!

I hope you guys enjoyed this post! I’m really happy with it, and I’m also happy that it changes things up a little in terms of content. I know a lot of my posts have been monthly inspiration. I mean, I love the monthly inspiration posts but I’m definitely starting to feel like I’m cutting myself short. I can do better! Especially now that school is no longer taking up most of my time, I just have to focus on saving time for posts when I’m not at work. Easy enough, I think! ;D

Anyways, hopefully this post made your Monday a bit brighter. Enjoy the rest of your day!

Until next time!

Embracing My Inner Leopard

Hey friends! Boy, do I have some good news for you! I have more photos to share!!!! Thank you to my good friend (and future roommate!) Jay De Belen for taking photos of me, I am so happy with the way they turned out! Him and I were talking and I think he’ll be taking more photos of me from now on, especially once we move in together – yay! Here! Take a look!

Chambray Top – Topshop | Ripped Jamie Jeans – Topshop | Sneakers – VANS | Leopard Coat – Topshop | Hat – Free People| Bag – Forever21

I know I’ve already shared a blog post wearing this leopard coat, but I love it so much. Spring will be here soon (I hope) and then I won’t be able to wear it anymore. I have to take advantage that it’s still chilly and wear my leopard baby as much as I can!!

I hope you guys enjoyed these photos as much as I do. Get prepared for some more photos from us! These next two weeks are the last two weeks of my college career, so they’re going to be a little hectic… But after that blogging, vlogging, and all that jazz will be in FULL SWING! This summer is going to be great. I’m pumped.

Have a fabulous weekend everybody!

February ’16 Favourites

IMG_1652.jpg

Hi friends! Since February has flown by and we are now in the month of March, I’ve decided to share with you the random things that I enjoyed/loved during the month of February. I know I’ve done a few of these before (side note: when I had a YouTube Channel I used to do these every month – I love them!), but I’ve decided to start it up again! Here are my February Favourites:

  1. The Mindy Project: This month I started watching The Mindy Project for the first time. I never really thought about watching it. I mean, I had heard good things but it never interested me enough to watch it right away. I think one day I was completely stuck on what I wanted to watch on Netflix so I just clicked and went for it. It honestly had me laughing out loud instantly – THIS SHOW IS HILARIOUS!! It’s definitely a ‘feel-good’ kind of show. I watched all 4 seasons in less than a week. If that doesn’t tell you how good it is, I don’t know what will. Honestly speaking, I’m watching every episode a second time right now. Check. It. Out.
  2. Swatch Watch: My mom is the cutest. For Valentine’s Day she got me this adorable Swatch watch, and I love it. There’s not really much else I can say about it. It’s so cute and my mom is so sweet to have got me it. She said that when she was my age she had one, so now I have one too!
  3. The Bell Jar: I discovered last month that my college’s library carries novels. Who knew?! They don’t just have boring old textbooks lol. So I borrowed The Bell Jar and The Handmaid’s Tale last month. I definitely went through both of them pretty quickly, but I think I read The Bell Jar much faster. It was an easy read and the story was incredible (and also somewhat depressing). It really opened my eyes about mental illness and how quick it can change someone’s life. If you’re like me and still haven’t read this classic, I suggest that you do.
  4. BonLook Eyeglasses: I got new eyeglasses this month! I had been looking for the right pair for the right price for a long time. I came across this website through YouTube and Twitter. TheFashionCitizen on YouTube are these twin sisters who have a great sense of style and do it all within a very reasonable budget. I asked them where they get their glasses on Twitter and they said that all of their glasses come from this site called ‘BonLook’! So I checked the website out and loved it. The prices are amazing, and I love the unique frames they have for you to choose from! I already want to buy another pair!
  5. Free People Sunglasses: If you guys know me well enough by now, you know I love sunglasses and can’t seem to realize that maybe I already have enough of them. I say, “NEVER!” This is a pair from Free People and I’ve been wearing them like crazy, last month and well-into this month. They’re currently my “go-to” pair.
  6. MAC Turquatic Perfume: I know I talked about this perfume in a post a couple weeks ago but it deserves another mention. Since that post I’ve noticed that people have been telling me that I smell good a lot more. I don’t know if they read my blog (I hope they do!) but a lot of people have been complimenting me. So many that I may just stick with this scent for a while, maybe purchase another bottle? (Whoa Nelly – ME considering this scent over Chloe- Love Story?!) – ’tis true.
  7. Mana-tea Tea Infuser: During the holidays I was introduced to David’s Tea and the whole “tea-craze”. I’m gonna give it to you straight… I’M HOOKED. I love different flavours of tea. I want to try ALL the flavours. I’m nuts about tea. So anyway, two months ago I browsed Amazon and came cross a bunch of different tea infusers. They came in different forms: a little man, a shark, a sloth, a strawberry, and a MANA-TEA! I, of course, got the manatee and although it took a month to get here from China, I love him. When he’s hanging off the side of the mug into the hot steamy water, it looks like he’s just chillin’ in a hot tub! Isn’t that cuuuttee?! I think I let him soak almost every night lol.
  8. Oscars: I don’t know how it began (could have been my love for movies), but for the past few years I have made watching the Academy Awards a priority. I always watch all of the nominations and if not all of them, I watch all the movies nominated for Best Picture. This year I watched all the Best Picture nominations and then some. I also decided to host an Oscars Party at my place. It was something different and made me love watching the Oscars even more. Most of all, I was glad all my friends were there to celebrate Leo’s big win!

So that’s it for my February Favourites! I hope you guys enjoyed reading about them. What were some of your favourites last month? Let me know in the comment section below!!

Have a great weekend!
