This season I’ve noticed a lot of women accessorizing by tying smaller sized scarves (kerchiefs) around their necks. By women, I mostly mean my favourite blogger: Danielle Bernstein (LOVE! HER!). If you’re familiar with bloggers you’ll know her as ‘weworewhat’. She inspires me. I just recently added her on snapchat haha. Anyway! I personally love the look of the neckerchief. I had been looking for one for a while but I could not justify the price. Even at H&M they were like $15 – yuck! Although I really love the look, I can’t see myself wearing a neckerchief on a day-to-day basis or getting my $15 worth. That’s why I got super excited when I found one at a thrift store a week ago. It was only $3 and I really enjoy the pattern. It was made in Italy, so that’s pretty funky! This is how I styled it for work. For a more casual/everyday outfit I think I would add the neckerchief to a plain tee and jeans. How do you feel about the “neckerchief”?

Hope you enjoyed today’s post! I also hope you’re having a great weekend so far!
‘Til next time!

I want to begin by saying: I had no idea what to call this post. I get boho and Indiana Jones vibes from this look, but seriously, what kind of title can come of that lol? If you know me well, you’ll know I’m a huge fan of neutrals. I tend to gravitate towards black. A: It looks good with everything. B: It’s my favourite colour.. because it looks good with everything. I honestly need to gravitate towards more color. I don’t really own anything bold. Perhaps that’s something I can try to work on. The focal point for this outfit was the brim hat. It’s neutral, so ideally any color would go with it.. but for some reason, I chose more neutral colors haha. It works, but I would have liked to pair it with a color that isn’t black, gray, white or cream, etc. (Basically a color I don’t own.) What do you think is a safe color (that’s NOT neutral) to try for those who are afraid of going bold? Blue? Maybe green? Help me.
I hope you like the outfit nonetheless! I also hope you’re having a great week so far! Enjoy your Monday 🙂

As previously mentioned (in my last post), I recently purchased “mom jeans”. I have always liked the look on other people, in pictures and in person, but I was never 100% sure they were fit for me. I’m pretty petite/tiny (as we all know lol), so I was afraid they would swallow me! However, we received a bunch of mom jeans at work last week so I decided to amuse myself and try them on. It was worth a shot. They ended up fitting me but the way they fit is so different from what I’m used to! I was so torn! They were baggy and loose. I’m a girl who wears skinny jeans like a second skin!! As a fashion lover/addict, I am open to trying new styles and therefore in the end I went with my gut and bought them. I get a discount so I didn’t burn a huge hole in my pocket. It wasn’t easy though. I was asking my co-workers, half of them loved them and half of them didn’t. Mom jeans are definitely a love or hate kind of piece but I have nothing like them in my closet. I liked them and if I want to wear them, I’m going to make them work. So what is your take on “mom jeans”? Do you love them or do you hate them? Do you think they may be just a fad, or will we be seeing mom jeans as the new skinny jeans? *gasp*
Here’s how I styled them:
Everything but the sneakers are from Topshop.
Hope you’re having a fab Monday!!

I bought this oversized coat months ago and I have been wearing it everyday since! It never occurred to me that I should probably share it in a blog post because it immediately became a part of my everyday wardrobe. It is honestly the best coat I have ever owned and I love it very much! I especially love the lilac colour because not only can I wear in the winter, but I have a feeling it will be acceptable to wear in the early spring as well ;D
This coat was purchased at Topshop (go figure!) and for those of you who are interested, it comes in other colours!
Hope you all like it! I also hope you’re all having a great holiday season, and have a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Why hello there! Does it feel as long to you as it does to me? So sorry for the huge gap between posts, but I’ve just recently got my life back. For the past week or so I’ve been studying and preparing for midterms. Blegh!!
On to better and more fashionable things ;D Today I am mixing it up with a look that I have stolen from my ultimate girl crush. Can you guess? It’s the beautiful Selena Gomez. I don’t know what it is guys… but I’m obsessed with her. I really can’t explain it. I love her style and all the other lovely things about her! This look of hers specifically caught my eye, so I decided to recreate it and give it a hint of myself. Hope you like it!
Sweater – F21
Necklace – Express
Jeans – Topshop

I would also like to thank my lovely friend Lilly (hungry4style.com) for taking the pictures for me! She’s got an awesome blog and you should all check her out!
I have just recently been hired as a sales advisor at a nearby Topshop. Yesterday was actually my first real shift on the job (which went really well!). One of the other new hires just happens to be a blogger and a fellow student in my program, so naturally we had to take some pictures of each other and create blog posts!! That’s what you’re supposed to do, right? After work, we literally just went outside and snapped a few pictures of our outfits. ‘Our-first-day-working-at-Topshop’ outfits.
For my outfit, I wore black American Eagle “jeggings”, a top from F21, a Brandy Melville necklace, my favorite Zara booties, and my new oversized/i-look-like-a-wannabe-hobo cardigan from Urban Outfitters (I luuuvvv it!).
To those of you who are interested, my dear friend Julia’s blog is blackchique.blogspot.com. She’s very sweet and beautiful, so you should all check her out and leave a comment!
Hope you’re all having a great day!
Friday. What’s not to love! No class, it’s the beginning of the weekend, and I have the time to create my first blog post! I’m new to the world of fashion blogs, but I’d like to formally introduce myself…
Hi! My name is Alannah. I live in Toronto and I’m in my third year of college where I’m studying Fashion Management. I snort when I laugh, I’m short, I’m half Filipino, half Canadian, and I have a weird obsession with kittens at the moment (I WANT ONE SO BAD). That’s basically all you need to know, but if you would like to know more about me, I plan on creating an ‘About Me’ page in the near future (haha).
Today’s post is my outfit that I wore on my day off. I went out with my boyfriend, ate some brunch, and went for a walk on campus near the lakeshore.
For my outfit, I wore a matching set that I purchased from Forever21. I love matching sets/separates. Not only are they stylish and trendy, but they’re easy! I feel like you don’t have to think about it as much as you would with a regular outfit. Actually, you really don’t have to think about it at all (lol)! To go with this set, I wore my new Zara booties with gorgeous zipper and buckle detailing. I’m in love with them. I find the chunky look of them absolutely gorgeous! I was very minimal with my accessories today because I felt like the dress spoke for itself, as well as my boots. For a bag I used this faux leather tote that I also bought from Forever21. I certainly didn’t need to carry such a big bag, but for some strange reason I have never thought to add a small black purse to my wardrobe. Isn’t it kind of essential? Consider it added to my wishlist, and I will most definitely let you know when I find one ;D
So there you have it, my first post/outfit of the day! I hope you all liked it, and until next time, have a great weekend!!
