Hey friends! We’re fast approaching the end of the month, so I’m back with nothing other than another Inspiration post. I’m sorry I haven’t mixed things up in a while. I’ve wanted to focus on my blog and create some new content but with working in retail and it being the holiday season, I’ve been exhausted. This past Black Friday weekend really wore me down – and it wasn’t even that busy! I did work all three days of Black Friday weekend, and in between I took a road trip to my hometown, so I really just needed some rest. If you work in retail and understand how busy and tiring it is, comment below! How did your Black Friday go?
Anyways, I’ll stay on track here. So today’s post is my inspiration for the month of November. You guys know how these work. If you haven’t visited my blog before (welcome!!), I post a series of pictures that have inspired/influenced my style for every month. For November, I’ve been loving sweaters, teddy bear coats, mom jeans, more fishnets, lots of colour, slip dresses layered over t-shirts, and “nibbled” tees (I’ll explain in a bit). Oh, and of course the Olsen twins. I’m definitely still loving them. Just to update you all, I still haven’t found the perfect croc textured bag for me. If you’ve seen one that you think I might like, bless your soul. Please share it in the comment section below!!! xx
To get into more detail, I’ve just been loving being cozy and looking stylish while I’m at it. I bought this teddy bear-esque coat from THE GAP and I’m absolutely in love with it (check it out on Instagram!). I could fall asleep on the bus wearing it. It’s THAT cozy. I’ve also been loving bright colours, or just anything that’s not black or grey. Winter is a “blah” time for most people. I think black is definitely a go to colour for this season, but I like colour! Colour makes me happy. For example, on days that need brightening, I’ve been gravitating towards my hot pink trousers. “Nibbled” tees are these lightly distressed t-shirts that we sell at Topshop. I’ve bought one in almost every colour. They go with everything and I love the fit & shape of them! At one point I thought they were called “moth-bitten” tees. You can probably Google them with either name! I might actually do a blog post on them and how I’ve been styling them.
As always, to better understand what I’ve been rambling about. Take a look at the inspiration photos below!
There you have it! November’s Inspiration. I can’t believe it’s almost December! Where has the year gone? AHH. Christmas is in like 3 weeks and I’ve bought one Christmas present. I hope you’re all ahead of the game and not like me!
Until next time,
Hey friends! I’m back with a monthly inspiration post! I hope you don’t mind but I enjoyed monthly inspiration posts last year, so I think I’m just going to keep them going. If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you’ll notice that during the month of January my inspiration has not changed much. During the colder months, I definitely prefer layering (in the most fashionable way possible). This month I’ve also noticed that I was gravitating more towards my trousers/dress pants. I have this favourite pair of navy pinstripe trousers and I’m pretty sure I wore them the most. As you can see in the pictures, I’ve preferred looser clothing – the “oversized” look. I think this look makes it easier to layer stuff underneath so that I’m warmer. I usually layer with turtlenecks (ya’ll know how much I LOVE turtlenecks!!). Another trend I’ve been keeping up with this month is the “white sneaker” trend. Definitely been pairing them with the trousers and my high-waisted mom jeans throughout the month. Although all these pieces that I’ve been loving are more on the masculine side, I’ve been making sure to wear more feminine accessories. A good pair of earrings usually does the trick!
That’s all I have for this month’s inspiration! I hope this post made your Monday a little bit better, and hopefully I’ll have another post for you all sometime soon xx
This season I’ve noticed a lot of women accessorizing by tying smaller sized scarves (kerchiefs) around their necks. By women, I mostly mean my favourite blogger: Danielle Bernstein (LOVE! HER!). If you’re familiar with bloggers you’ll know her as ‘weworewhat’. She inspires me. I just recently added her on snapchat haha. Anyway! I personally love the look of the neckerchief. I had been looking for one for a while but I could not justify the price. Even at H&M they were like $15 – yuck! Although I really love the look, I can’t see myself wearing a neckerchief on a day-to-day basis or getting my $15 worth. That’s why I got super excited when I found one at a thrift store a week ago. It was only $3 and I really enjoy the pattern. It was made in Italy, so that’s pretty funky! This is how I styled it for work. For a more casual/everyday outfit I think I would add the neckerchief to a plain tee and jeans. How do you feel about the “neckerchief”?

Hope you enjoyed today’s post! I also hope you’re having a great weekend so far!

I want to begin by saying: I had no idea what to call this post. I get boho and Indiana Jones vibes from this look, but seriously, what kind of title can come of that lol? If you know me well, you’ll know I’m a huge fan of neutrals. I tend to gravitate towards black. A: It looks good with everything. B: It’s my favourite colour.. because it looks good with everything. I honestly need to gravitate towards more color. I don’t really own anything bold. Perhaps that’s something I can try to work on. The focal point for this outfit was the brim hat. It’s neutral, so ideally any color would go with it.. but for some reason, I chose more neutral colors haha. It works, but I would have liked to pair it with a color that isn’t black, gray, white or cream, etc. (Basically a color I don’t own.) What do you think is a safe color (that’s NOT neutral) to try for those who are afraid of going bold? Blue? Maybe green? Help me.
I hope you like the outfit nonetheless! I also hope you’re having a great week so far! Enjoy your Monday 🙂

There aren’t even words to describe how excited and happy I was to find this faux fur jacket. I’ve looked and looked for years for a faux fur jacket that was a reasonable price, and up until now I had zero luck. I was Christmas shopping downtown with a friend one day and stopped at Urban Outfitters. Of course, when your goal is shop for presents for OTHER people, you end up finding the perfect things for yourself. This jacket was regularly $200 and was marked down to $69. Sale items were also on sale for 50% off the lowest ticket price, so at this point I’m like freaking out that it’s only $35. I tried it on, fell in love, got to the cash, and by some miracle it came to $25!! Seriously, it was meant to be. I love it, but then again, I say that about a lot of other things in my closet. I REALLY REALLY LOVE IT. Here’s myself wearing my new (faux) fur baby.
