Hey everybody! I’m back with information that I have been dyyying to share with you guys since Christmas. You’re gonna laugh. Wait for it..
My brother got me the perfect croc-textured baaaggg!! (THANK YOU, AARON <3)
Mind you, I did pick it out and order it myself.. he just gave me the money. NONETHELESS he still got it for me, and I love it, and I’m gonna use it until it falls apart!
Do you guys remember how this croc-textured-bag-hunt started? I noticed that the Olsen twins (and many of my other style icons) wear them ALL THE TIME. Literally every candid photo of them is with some variation of a crocodile or snake-textured bag. They’re gorgeous, and I think they’re also pretty classy (the bags and the Olsen twins). I could go on with how obsessed I am but I won’t. All I can say is that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are terrible enablers. The saddest part is that we’ve never even met..
Anywho! I am very grateful for this Christmas present (and for my brother, obv). I hope that one day I can maybe own a nice expensive one. It will probably take a million years but until then, this one from Zara is my baby. I took some photos of her, have a look!
I’m reading this over and I’m realizing that I’m treating this bag like it has feelings. If you know me, this is how I am with bags. If you don’t know me: I AM A HUGE BAG LADY (/nerd). If I could own a closet full of bags, I really, really would. A bag “is merely a piece of iconography used to express individual identity”. Thank you Doug, from the movie Devil Wears Prada. The Devil Wears Prada is my favourite movie and I just found out the character’s name was Doug. He’s right though! I feel like a woman can be defined by the kind of bag she wears. Her bag can express her personality and her taste. Am I wrong? Hopefully this Zara bag expresses that I’m a wannabe Olsen twin, haha! I can’t wait to wear it all the time! I’ll be sure to include it in upcoming outfit posts!
Hope you all have a fab weekend! Happy Fridaay!
Until next time,
Hey friends! We’re fast approaching the end of the month, so I’m back with nothing other than another Inspiration post. I’m sorry I haven’t mixed things up in a while. I’ve wanted to focus on my blog and create some new content but with working in retail and it being the holiday season, I’ve been exhausted. This past Black Friday weekend really wore me down – and it wasn’t even that busy! I did work all three days of Black Friday weekend, and in between I took a road trip to my hometown, so I really just needed some rest. If you work in retail and understand how busy and tiring it is, comment below! How did your Black Friday go?
Anyways, I’ll stay on track here. So today’s post is my inspiration for the month of November. You guys know how these work. If you haven’t visited my blog before (welcome!!), I post a series of pictures that have inspired/influenced my style for every month. For November, I’ve been loving sweaters, teddy bear coats, mom jeans, more fishnets, lots of colour, slip dresses layered over t-shirts, and “nibbled” tees (I’ll explain in a bit). Oh, and of course the Olsen twins. I’m definitely still loving them. Just to update you all, I still haven’t found the perfect croc textured bag for me. If you’ve seen one that you think I might like, bless your soul. Please share it in the comment section below!!! xx
To get into more detail, I’ve just been loving being cozy and looking stylish while I’m at it. I bought this teddy bear-esque coat from THE GAP and I’m absolutely in love with it (check it out on Instagram!). I could fall asleep on the bus wearing it. It’s THAT cozy. I’ve also been loving bright colours, or just anything that’s not black or grey. Winter is a “blah” time for most people. I think black is definitely a go to colour for this season, but I like colour! Colour makes me happy. For example, on days that need brightening, I’ve been gravitating towards my hot pink trousers. “Nibbled” tees are these lightly distressed t-shirts that we sell at Topshop. I’ve bought one in almost every colour. They go with everything and I love the fit & shape of them! At one point I thought they were called “moth-bitten” tees. You can probably Google them with either name! I might actually do a blog post on them and how I’ve been styling them.
As always, to better understand what I’ve been rambling about. Take a look at the inspiration photos below!
There you have it! November’s Inspiration. I can’t believe it’s almost December! Where has the year gone? AHH. Christmas is in like 3 weeks and I’ve bought one Christmas present. I hope you’re all ahead of the game and not like me!
Until next time,
I don’t know what it is, maybe it’s Alexa Chung (I’m obsessed with her), but I’ve been really drawn to the look of a straw bag. If you don’t know me, I love bags/purses. So maybe it’s really no surprise that I love this new trend. I’ve seen photos with women with different versions of straw bags and I think their outfits look great! It looks so cute and chic! I feel like it looks stylish. I love what it adds to an outfit and I’m really contemplating on getting one myself. The big question is: is it worth it? I mean, I like the look of it and I’m sure depending on the style I get it, it could probably carry a lot of my stuff..
But then again, it’s definitely just a “trendy” piece. No one is going to be carrying straw purses come Fall/Winter. This is definitely just a new look for the Summer, and may or may not get more attention next year.
Therefore, I’m torn! Do I love the trend enough to get one? Or should I just pass and put my money towards something that will always be in style?
My other alternative is finding one at a thrift store. This way I get the satisfaction of having a cute, trendy, and stylish piece, but I don’t break the bank!
Here are some pictures of the trend. Let me know what you think by leaving a comment below! Do you love the trend or hate it??
That’s all for today! I hope you’re all enjoying your Wednesday (:
Hello everybody! I’m back with another outfit post! Shocked? Here is another set of photos shot by Joanna Dass (joannadass.com). I love the denim dress worn in these photos. I’m still kinda playing around with it. I’m not sure how I like to style it yet but here’s one way. A basic t-shirt and my clogs. I think it gives the outfit a relaxed look. Very casual. I find this dress easy to throw on and even though it’s not a very flattering shape, it somehow works. (*eureka moment* THIS WOULD LOOK GREAT WITH A TURTLENECK!!) This denim dress is from Topshop (where else?). I had my eyes on it for a while but then someone bought it in my size. Then it was returned, so I took that as fate. It obviously meant that we belong together, right?
Take a look at these photos, and if haven’t checked out Joanna’s website.. WHAT ARE YOU DOING?
Dress – Topshop | Shirt – H&M | Shoes – Aldo
As always, I am very thankful that you took the time to read this post.
Have a happy Friday! Enjoy your weekend 🙂
Hi friends! I’m baaack with another outfit post! This outfit consists of two things I’ve been currently loving, camel suede and that darn button up skirt! Are you sick of seeing it yet? I promise that I’m keeping it at two ha-ha! This one in particular is white, and also from Topshop. I picked white because I don’t have any bottoms in my closet that are white. I was considering getting pants but this skirt just seemed like the perfect choice. My top is from Zara and it’s real suede leather. It’s got that weird leather smell but I love the look and the texture that it brings to my outfit. What do you think? Take a look!!
Top – Zara | Skirt, Sunglasses & Bag – Topshop | Sandals – Birkenstock
As always, I appreciate you taking the time to read this post ❤ Thank you to my boyfriend for taking the pictures (you’re the best). &I hope you all enjoyed my outfit!
Have a great weekend!

Hey everyone! It’s that time again! June is officially here and that means that I can share what I loved during the month of May. Firstly, I wanna say that June is the best month of all months. Not only does it mark the official beginning of summer, BUT IT’S MY BIRTHDAY MONTH (WOOT WOOT)!! “I don’t know about you.. but I’m turning twenty-twooo..” Actually though. I’m turning TWENTY-TWO. Am I old now? I really don’t know how I feel about it, so I’m just going to leave it at that haha.
On to my favourites!! There weren’t very many fashion items that I loved during the month of May. I got many new pieces in preparation for summer, so there will definitely be tons of fashion favourites in the months to come. Some fashion items that I DID love during the month of May are my denim button-up skirt (which you all must know about by now haha.. I’ve talked about it enough :p), my children’s Adidas sneakers, and my new $4 canvas tote. The denim button-up skirt is self-explanatory. It’s amazing. I love it. Definitely going to wear the crap out of it. I don’t think I’ve quite introduced my Adidas babies though. They’re a children’s size 2. They have velcro. Need I say more baha? I thought it was a different take on the Adidas sneakers that are trending at the moment. They also fit me a heck of a lot better because they’re made for my baby feet. I know that velcro may seem ugly to some people, but I feel like we might see more velcro in the future? So far, it’s just me and Jared Leto. I love them. The last fashion favourite is the canvas tote that I purchased from Kensington market. It may be a little hipster, but I find it very handy when carrying lunches or an extra pair of shoes to work. There is no doubt in my mind that I used this bag for 20 out of the 31 days in May.
My other three favourites are a movie, a TV show, and a book. Avengers: Age of Ultron came out last month. I know it’s not typical for a girly girl like me to enjoy movies like Avengers, but without hesitation I can say that this movie is my favourite. I love Marvel movies. I also love all the Transformer movies. Those who know me well would say I’m sort of a geek. Speaking of geeks, a TV show that I discovered on Netflix during the month of May was Freaks and Geeks. Unfortunately there was only the one season, so I finished it pretty quick.. but I loved it nonetheless! I recognized so many faces!! They were all so young and talented. James Franco, Jason Segal, Seth Rogan, Shia LaBeouf, Lizzy Caplan (from Mean Girls), Leslie Mann (The Other Women and This is 40), and Linda Cardellini (she was in Avengers: Age of Ultron!!). These are only a FEW of the familiar faces!! Honestly, you just have to watch it. It’s so funny and original. It’s the best! You’ll enjoy it, I GUARANTEE IT. My final favourite for the month of May is a book. I read a lot of good books during the month of May. Three to be exact. I am so happy I got to read more than one. I’ve been dying to read for months and now I have some time to fully dedicate to reading. A book that stood out to me was Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn. If you aren’t familiar with her, she is also the author of Gone Girl (the movie is on Netflix now!) which is another book I really enjoyed. It was a very thrilling novel. That’s all I can really say without giving it away! If you liked Gone Girl, you’ll love this one.
That concludes my May Favourites! I hope you enjoyed them! PLEASE consider watching Freaks and Geeks, Avengers: Age of Ultron, or even start reading Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn! They were all so so good!
Hope you’re having a happy Friday!
Until next time!

Hey! I’m back with an outfit post for ya’ll! I know I said there would be more blog posts this summer, but I’ve just come to the realization that between my job and work placement.. finding time to take pictures is a lot harder than I thought. I love blogging so bear with me! Blog posts will come, just not as often as you and I would like *sad face*.
On to today’s post! This denim skirt guys. I can’t even remember if I’ve talked about this skirt before but I AM IN LOVE. I first met “eyes” with this skirt when Alexa Chung came out with her collection for AG jeans. I’m a big fan of Alexa Chung and in the ads, she rocked it. I had to have this skirt. A month or so later I found out that Topshop designed a similar skirt! I freaked out (obviously). So I waited, and waited, and waited for it to come to my location. When it did, my size was already gone! I was crushed guys. I called other locations in the Toronto area and they didn’t have my size either. I even begged a friend who works at another location to look for it for me. No luck. My size was snatched before I could blink. I was devastated. Maybe a little depressed. I guessed it wasn’t meant to be..
THEN A COUPLE WEEKS AGO, boyfriend and I were shopping downtown and stopped by the location downtown. I FOUND MY SIZE. NOT ONLY WAS IT MY SIZE BUT IT WAS A PETITE VERSION SO IT WAS A PROPER LENGTH FOR ME TOO! I was ecstatic.
So yeah, I have the skirt now.. and I wear it as often as I can. I can pretty much wear it with anything and I love that! I was pulling some hardcore 70s vibes when I wore this outfit, but you know I’m all about that ;D Take a look at this outfit!
Top – Gifted | Skirt – Top shop | Clog – Aldo | Purse – Topshop
Ahh, it feels so good to blog. Hope you guys enjoy this post as much I do! I also hope you guys are enjoying the beautiful weather!
