Summer Suede

Hi friends! I’m baaack with another outfit post! This outfit consists of two things I’ve been currently loving, camel suede and that darn button up skirt! Are you sick of seeing it yet? I promise that I’m keeping it at two ha-ha! This one in particular is white, and also from Topshop. I picked white because I don’t have any bottoms in my closet that are white. I was considering getting pants but this skirt just seemed like the perfect choice. My top is from Zara and it’s real suede leather. It’s got that weird leather smell but I love the look and the texture that it brings to my outfit. What do you think? Take a look!!

Monthly Favourites: May 2015

Hey everyone! It’s that time again! June is officially here and that means that I can share what I loved during the month of May. Firstly, I wanna say that June is the best month of all months. Not only does it mark the official beginning of summer, BUT IT’S MY BIRTHDAY MONTH (WOOT WOOT)!! “I don’t know about you.. but I’m turning twenty-twooo..” Actually though. I’m turning TWENTY-TWO. Am I old now? I really don’t know how I feel about it, so I’m just going to leave it at that haha.

On to my favourites!! There weren’t very many fashion items that I loved during the month of May. I got many new pieces in preparation for summer, so there will definitely be tons of fashion favourites in the months to come. Some fashion items that I DID love during the month of May are my denim button-up skirt (which you all must know about by now haha.. I’ve talked about it enough :p), my children’s Adidas sneakers, and my new $4 canvas tote. The denim button-up skirt is self-explanatory. It’s amazing. I love it. Definitely going to wear the crap out of it. I don’t think I’ve quite introduced my Adidas babies though. They’re a children’s size 2. They have velcro. Need I say more baha? I thought it was a different take on the Adidas sneakers that are trending at the moment. They also fit me a heck of a lot better because they’re made for my baby feet. I know that velcro may seem ugly to some people, but I feel like we might see more velcro in the future? So far, it’s just me and Jared Leto. I love them. The last fashion favourite is the canvas tote that I purchased from Kensington market. It may be a little hipster, but I find it very handy when carrying lunches or an extra pair of shoes to work. There is no doubt in my mind that I used this bag for 20 out of the 31 days in May.

My other three favourites are a movie, a TV show, and a book. Avengers: Age of Ultron came out last month. I know it’s not typical for a girly girl like me to enjoy movies like Avengers, but without hesitation I can say that this movie is my favourite. I love Marvel movies. I also love all the Transformer movies. Those who know me well would say I’m sort of a geek. Speaking of geeks, a TV show that I discovered on Netflix during the month of May was Freaks and Geeks. Unfortunately there was only the one season, so I finished it pretty quick.. but I loved it nonetheless! I recognized so many faces!! They were all so young and talented. James Franco, Jason Segal, Seth Rogan, Shia LaBeouf, Lizzy Caplan (from Mean Girls), Leslie Mann (The Other Women and This is 40), and Linda Cardellini (she was in Avengers: Age of Ultron!!). These are only a FEW of the familiar faces!! Honestly, you just have to watch it. It’s so funny and original. It’s the best! You’ll enjoy it, I GUARANTEE IT. My final favourite for the month of May is a book. I read a lot of good books during the month of May. Three to be exact. I am so happy I got to read more than one. I’ve been dying to read for months and now I have some time to fully dedicate to reading. A book that stood out to me was Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn. If you aren’t familiar with her, she is also the author of Gone Girl (the movie is on Netflix now!) which is another book I really enjoyed. It was a very thrilling novel. That’s all I can really say without giving it away! If you liked Gone Girl, you’ll love this one.

That concludes my May Favourites! I hope you enjoyed them! PLEASE consider watching Freaks and Geeks, Avengers: Age of Ultron, or even start reading Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn! They were all so so good!

Hope you’re having a happy Friday!

Until next time!

April Favourites 2015

As you all know, it is May. Where the heck did April go?! I’m not to sure what the feedback was for my last post like this, but I enjoyed my “March Favourites” so much that I decided to do a similar post for April! Hope you guys don’t mind ha-ha.

DSCN2031

A lot of my favourites for this month won’t come as a surprise to you. I’m pretty sure I’ve talked your guys’ ears off about most of them. For one, my Mackage bag. Still loving her, still treasuring her, still can’t believe she’s mine. I still tuck her into her dust bag at night. I’m also still loving my oversized denim jacket, and of course I’m still loving my sunglasses. I’m going to be honest you guys, I really think I am clinically obsessed with sunglasses. The amount of pairs that I have accumulated in the last month is embarrassing. Every time I go shopping, I gravitate towards the sunglasses and try a few on. I’m getting better at telling myself no though. Two favourites that I have not mentioned are Wentworth and Girl on the Train. Wentworth is a TV show that I found on Netflix. IT IS AWESOME. My honest opinion is that it is BETTER than Orange is the New Black. It’s definitely a little more intense. It’s Australian (cool accents are a bonus). There really isn’t much else that I can say besides that you should really watch it! If you’re into shows like Orange is the New Black but want something a little more “bloody” (for the lack of a better word), watch this show. Girl on the Train is the last but not the least of my favourites. It is one of the best books I’ve read in the last while. It was really hard to put down once I got into it. I don’t have a real picture of it because I borrowed the book from one of my managers at Topshop. I am SO GLAD that I did. I was tempted to keep it, but that would have been bad. It is such a good read in the sense that it kept me on my toes. It was a little bit of a mystery and kind of a thriller. It was just awesome. Please read it. I beg you all.

(Lol.) So that concludes April’s favourites! I really hope you guys enjoyed finding out what I loved during the past month. I’ll more than likely share my favourites for the month of May (unless you guys beg me to stop).

Hope you’re all having a good day! XX

city girl

Recently, since school has just finished, I’ve had a lot of free time. When I have free time, I like to go downtown, see everything that I can see, and shop. I’ve done this twice in the past week and I can’t tell you how much I enjoy it! I hope I never get tired of living in Toronto. Here are pictures of an outfit that I wore during one of those days. It probably comes as no shock but the majority of my outfit is from Topshop, literally everything but my shoes, sunglasses and bag (smh).

Summer Ready

Before you say it! Yes, I got the denim jacket.. I went with the Topman one because the one from Depop felt a little risky. Although I would have loved a vintage Levi, I have no regrets. I’ve been wearing this oversized denim jacket everyday since I got it! I had a day off last Friday (no school AND no work- booya!) and I didn’t want to do anything but take pictures in the gorgeous weather! It was so nice outside that I had to wear a skirt and some open-toed heels. I may have looked a little too excited for summer but I didn’t care! I can’t wait to finish school this week and have more free time for my blog. It’s going to be one of my number one priorities this summer and I CAN’T WAIT! I LOVE SUMMER!

What’s In My Bag?

Processed with VSCOcam with t1 preset

Here’s a different post for you guys!! What’s in my handbag? Honestly, how did this begin? Also, did you think this would take off as well as it did? I’m a little surprised but I’m glad I’m not the only nosey person around here!

Anyway, here’s my bag and all the EXCITING contents that I carry inside it *sarcasm*. I’ll start off with my bag. It is a recent purchase (#smh) and it’s by the Canadian designer label ‘Mackage’. I first saw it in Club Monaco and couldn’t stop thinking about it – we are soul mates (*bag addict/freak*)! She can carry everything and I can depend on her for almost anything. What a lucky girl I am ;D

Inside my purse I carry my tiny black Kate Spade wallet and my Louis Vuitton pouch thing (it carries lip products, a mirror, tide-to-go, band-aids, perfume, and a pen). There’s my work lanyard with a cute monkey sticker on it. A pack of my favourite gum is always in my bag (77cents at the dollar store!). I usually carry whatever book I’m currently reading so I can whip it out whenever I’m on the bus or the streetcar. The book I’m reading at the moment is “The Boys of Summer” by Roger Kahn. I have my keys on a black fluff-ball keychain-thing. It’s probably the closest I’ll get to one of those $2000 Fendi fluffy monster guys that are SO CUTE. I also carry a hair tie to keep my mane tamed. The two lip products that I have been loving lately are my Neutrogena lip balm and my MakeupForever lipstick in shade #10 (it’s the perfect pink-nude color for my lips). I think I’m never going to have to buy another lipstick again, as long as they don’t choose to discontinue this one. I looove it! Last but not least is a wee candy that I got when I went out for pho with my friends from work. The packaging is so cute that I can’t get myself to eat it! I’m a sucker for cute packaging – I get it from my mother. I’m just going to keep it in my bag forever.

So that’s all that I carry in my purse. I realized afterwards that most of the time I have a pair of sunglasses in my bag, but I guess I didn’t have any on me when I took the picture. Hope this satisfied your nosey needs!

Take care and TTY NEXT TIME XX

You’re So Classic

Happy Easter Sunday everybody! Today I have another outfit post. Simple but full of classics! Your classic black skinnies and a classic white button-up! I think with a nice pair of shoes (like my Spring booties) and a nice purse, this outfit is perfect for everyday! An outfit like this is perfect to gravitate to because it’s chic and effortless. I usually think of outfits like this when I have no idea what to wear but want to seem like I tried a little. I particularly wore this outfit the day before the long weekend! I’m home right now and reunited with my family!! Unfortunately I’ll be on my way back later today, but it was a nice little escape from the stress of exams and assignments that I’m dealing with back in Toronto. I hope all of you are enjoying the weekend with your loved ones! Here’s a better look at my outfit:
