In every outfit I’ve posted so far, I’ve pictured myself with the sickest, most fab, small, black crossbody bag. Perfect for everyday and just all-around gorgeous. I told myself I wasn’t going to settle for something simple and cheap. “I will literally use this every day and wear the crap out of it.” – What I told myself.
So that settled it (doesn’t take much haha). I was going to purchase a designer bag. I was going to fork out that hard earned Topshop cash and buy a sexy Rebecca Minkoff, and I did just that. Let me introduce you to Avery!! I’ve mentioned her before but she is my new found lover and ultimate companion.
If you haven’t been paying any attention to a word I have said. I am clearly a bag lover. Purses or bags, whatever you want to call them… I’m obsessed. Buy me a gorgeous purse and I’m yours hunny! I’m that crazy bag lady!
Which leads me to asking, what are you crazy about? Bags, shoes, food, kittens… let me know in the comments below! ;D

Today’s post is all about the photos that I’ve saved (from either Tumblr or WWD) and kept as my own inspiration for the month of October. It’s unfortunately getting cold for a few of these looks, but that’s what a jacket/coat is for, right? Speaking of coats, I am absolutely obsessed with the look of the long and oversized coat at the moment. What do you guys think of it? My only concern is my petite figure… but perhaps there’s a way I can still pull it off. From these pictures you can probably tell that I’ve also been attracted to textures and a lot of neutral colours. You’ll notice that this is a reoccurring trend with me, I’m a little afraid of color haha. I’m not gonna lie, my favorite “colour” is black. I’ve also been obsessed with black booties! I currently have my eye on a pair of Chelsea boots. Tell me, is there a limit for the number of black boots you’re allowed to own?
I’m now on Twitter and Instagram as @tinyintoronto! Please follow me!
Until next time!
Why hello there! Does it feel as long to you as it does to me? So sorry for the huge gap between posts, but I’ve just recently got my life back. For the past week or so I’ve been studying and preparing for midterms. Blegh!!
On to better and more fashionable things ;D Today I am mixing it up with a look that I have stolen from my ultimate girl crush. Can you guess? It’s the beautiful Selena Gomez. I don’t know what it is guys… but I’m obsessed with her. I really can’t explain it. I love her style and all the other lovely things about her! This look of hers specifically caught my eye, so I decided to recreate it and give it a hint of myself. Hope you like it!
Sweater – F21
Necklace – Express
Jeans – Topshop
Shoes – American Eagle
Bag – Gifted
I would also like to thank my lovely friend Lilly (hungry4style.com) for taking the pictures for me! She’s got an awesome blog and you should all check her out!
Here are a few things that I am currently loving and lusting for. As a college student, there is of course a fat chance of me owning all of this any time soon.. but a girl can dream, right?
I’ve been dreaming mostly about that baby in the bottom right corner there. Isn’t she lovely? That’s the Rebecca Minkoff Avery Crossbody in all black *swoon* If you’ve read my first blog post, you’d know that I just recently discovered that I am lacking an everyday essential. It’s a tragedy. A small black crossbody goes with anything and everything, and the fact that I don’t own anything remotely similar means I just gotta have Avery!! Do ya feel me?
What about you guys? What is on your “currently craving” list? What are you lusting for? Please let me know in the comments! (Only because I don’t want to seem like freak.)
I have just recently been hired as a sales advisor at a nearby Topshop. Yesterday was actually my first real shift on the job (which went really well!). One of the other new hires just happens to be a blogger and a fellow student in my program, so naturally we had to take some pictures of each other and create blog posts!! That’s what you’re supposed to do, right? After work, we literally just went outside and snapped a few pictures of our outfits. ‘Our-first-day-working-at-Topshop’ outfits.
For my outfit, I wore black American Eagle “jeggings”, a top from F21, a Brandy Melville necklace, my favorite Zara booties, and my new oversized/i-look-like-a-wannabe-hobo cardigan from Urban Outfitters (I luuuvvv it!).
To those of you who are interested, my dear friend Julia’s blog is blackchique.blogspot.com. She’s very sweet and beautiful, so you should all check her out and leave a comment!
Hope you’re all having a great day!
I woke up this morning like I normally do – checking all my social media accounts (it’s unhealthy, I know). However, it was when I came across my Instagram newsfeed that my eyes were fully awakened. Like actually though, I almost jumped out of bed screaming “YES! YES! YES!” Chanel. Paris. Spring/Summer 2015. Absolutely Amazing!
Chanel is known for being the most extravagant and expensive fashion show of the season. Does anyone else remember the Supermarket façade they used last season? Brilliant. Perhaps I’m biased because I am so passionate about Chanel, but this season was no different. Chanel did not disappoint. Karl Lagerfeld created a certain façade that resembled a ‘Boulevard Chanel’. Grand Palais was transformed into a wide Parisian street/neighbourhood. According to articles that I’ve read, a fashion insider said that the set-up was so real, it was just lacking some dog poo on the sidewalk.
Chanel’s looks on the runway were all about modernity, colour, and combining masculine and feminine touches. There were silver looks with scale-like textures and double-breasted tweed jackets. I found that a lot of inspiration was taken from the 80s. The clothes were without a doubt beautiful, but that wasn’t even the best part. Karl Lagerfeld knows his way around a good finale. For SS15, Chanel recreated the event that took place in 1968, where students protested with very strong spirits. Cara Delevingne, Karl Lagerfeld, and Gisele Bundchen (who rarely does runway) were only a few who led this ‘fashion riot’. Cara was shouting “Come on!” as all the models filed out in a group – a feminist mock protest. There were signs that read, “History is Herstory”, “Tweed is better than Tweet”, “Be Your Own Stylist”, and “Women First”. There was even a male model who carried a sign that read, “He for She”. To some people, I’m sure it may have seemed a little bit over the top but it was most definitely inspiring. Another sign said, “Boys should get pregnant too.” (That makes no sense to me…) However, as a fashion leader and overall powerful and influential brand, Chanel made a fantastic move. Whether it was as serious as it should have been or not, Karl helped by simply creating awareness. Gender equality is overlooked. Feminists are so easily disregarded or taken the wrong way. People should be paying more attention. We have to think about the other countries around the world who are still fighting to be given the equal opportunity to get an education or a job. I’m not a professional spokesperson for feminists, but I know that gender equality is something we all should want to achieve – whether you’re male or female.
ANYWAY, the basis of this blogpost is that I wanted to say ‘kudos’ to Chanel.
So. Kudos Chanel 🙂
And thank you for reading!
