Hey everybody! I’m back with a new blog post. I know it’s a little late for a May Favourites post, but I don’t want to skip a month! Also, with all the moving hysteria I haven’t had much time to take outfit photos.
But anyways, I’ve moved! I’ve moved into my very first apartment!!!! It’s a lot more work than I thought, but I am really happy with how it’s coming along. I’ve been cleaning, painting, organizing, and putting together a lot of IKEA furniture lol. I’ve been SUPER obsessed with home décor lately. Do you have any websites you think I should check out? Let me know in the comment section below!!
My previous living arrangement was in a basement of a house shared with four other girls. It was the tiniest room (think like Harry Potter’s room under the stairs) and I couldn’t do anything in it. On top of that, I had the tiniest window so the lighting was horrible. NOW I have a huge window and a spacious room with an ACTUAL CLOSET. I can’t wait to have this place fully decorated, but of course it takes time and money. I’m thinking about making YouTube videos again, especially of the new apartment and the process of getting it all pretty! Not sure when I’ll get around to it, but still keep your eyes peeled for that! ;D
Now onto my May Favourites! May was a pretty hectic month for me. We were scrambling to find an apartment for June 1st. It was a only week before we had to move out when the apartment we REALLY wanted got back to us. It was honestly one of the best feelings/days ever. I had no idea what I was going to do until then!
So for May, I generally had been loving the same things. The inspiration for the past month was still all those transitional pieces when heading into Summer. A lot of lightweight and drape-y fabrics. Of course, denim (it’s me you’re talking to here). Prints, skirts, dresses, and CHOKERS. I am obsessed with chokers that I think I may do a blog post just dedicated to them. You know what? I’m so doing that. Stay tuned!
So this is my update/late May Favourites post! I hope you all enjoyed it! I do have to admit that I am glad to be back, and ready to come at you in full force.
Hope you all have a fab weekend!
Until next time,
I’ve always loved white. I mean, I don’t think you can ever go wrong with choosing white. Well I guess you could.. One wee mistake and you could ruin your shirt or whatever/make it look filthy. It doesn’t take much to make it look filthy, does it? I guess wearing white is only great while it lasts lol.
For today’s blog post I’m choosing to talk about my newly found love for all things white. By all things white, I literally mean ALL things. I’m really digging all white outfits. I’m also digging white décor (ya’ll know I’m moving in a few weeks ;D). Everything just looks so crisp, clean, and sophisticated in white. White also looks fantastic with a tan, that’s a bonus! I don’t know how you guys feel, but I really believe that white’s the way to go these days. My last few purchases have been white items (not that I’m spending money on clothes instead of saving for my apartment or anything ba-ha). Between you and me, I’ve got white jeans and two white tops so far. It’s been like a streak of just white. I’m going to see how long ’til I break it. Imagine if I only bought white clothes from now on.. HA!
I’ve compiled a few photos that are strictly white to show you guys how lovely white can be. I know a few of you may not find it practical, but look at how pretty these photos are!!
Hope you enjoy!
So what do you guys think of this white trend? Let me know in the comment box below!!
Hey friends! I’m back with a new outfit post. This was taken kind of “out of the blue” on Mother’s Day. I went home for the weekend, liked my outfit, so I grabbed my boyfriend and gave him my camera ha-ha. There weren’t a lot of choices for backdrop, so against my sister’s apartment building was, I guess, fine. This outfit features this white Bardot/off-the-shoulder top from Topshop (this probably isn’t a shock anymore). I’m not quite sure what the proper term is for this shirt, but I’m sure you guys have seen them as much as I have. I love this top! I can see myself getting a lot of use out of it in the summer. It’s just so feminine and easy to wear. I see myself pairing it with denim shorts, jeans, skirts, and trousers like what I’m wearing in the pictures below.
I also want to take the time to acknowledge how I’m wearing my white high-top Converse sneakers. They need a shout-out/some real loving. I’ve been gravitating towards them SO MUCH lately! – and I’ve had them for like 5-6 years! This is a real example of how classic these sneakers are and how they’ll probably never go out of style. I probably sound like I’m sponsored or something, but I’m just a huge supporter of Converse sneakers. Like, they look even better when they’re older! Ya’ll need a pair! Go get ’em! LOL
Anyways, I don’t know about you guys, but a new blog post really gets me in a good mood. I’m happy I took the time this morning to make this post. I hope you guys have a happy Friday! Enjoy your weekend!
Until next time!
HIIIIIII!! I’m here. I’m still alive. I feel like even though school has ended, my life still hasn’t really relaxed. I still haven’t settled completely, and it sucks. I’m trying to work as much as possible. I’m kind of considering a second job. My lease is up at the end of this month and I’m searching like crazy for a new apartment. I really really really want to blog and vlog, but life is pretty hectic for me right now (to say the least).
On a positive note: I’M GRADUATING! Finally going to obtain that Bachelor of Commerce Degree I’ve waited 4 years for and I couldn’t be more relieved. Believe it or not but I’m actually going to be graduating on my birthday this year. That should be fun! =D
For today’s post, I’m sorry, but it’s just your typical monthly inspiration post. Nothing fancy. It’s a little late but still worth a share. This month I’ve been loving the usual stuff, just mixing it up a bit differently. I love bright colours, white, denim, drapey pieces, trousers, bombers, lace-up tops, etc. You can tell by the beautiful mosaic I’ve provided below.
How are your lives? Hopefully going smoother than mine at the moment. Being a big kid sucks, am I right? It’s overwhelming.
Nonetheless, I hope you guys have a fabulous weekend! Have a happy Mother’s day! I’m not working this weekend! I’ll be in my home town celebrating with my family and boyfriend ❤
Until next time!
Hey everyone! Today I decided to try something different. For those of you who have been following me for a while, you probably know that one of my new yearns resolutions for 2016 was to read more books. And I have been doing just that! I think I have started a new book every 1-2 weeks.
Last week I finished “The Clasp” by Sloane Crowley. It was a fun read. A GREAT read! Nothing was really taken away from reading it, I can’t say I really learned anything… but I thoroughly enjoyed it nonetheless! This is Sloane’s first fiction novel and I have to say that it was one of the best written novels that I have read in a while. The way she wrote made it so easy to understand and relate. Her choice of language was perfect. She made the reader want to know every detail and on top that, she was hilarious!
In terms of the story (without giving too much away), it was about 3 college best friends who have grown up and have just entered adulthood. Friends are getting married, getting real jobs, etc. What’s interesting about these three is that they are different but somehow are caught in a little love triangle. Kezia, Nathaniel, and Victor are in love with one or the other. Kezia loves Nathaniel, Nathaniel loves Kezia, and Victor loves Kezia as well. Sloane takes the three of them on an unexpected adventure in Paris (my dream destination – I think it’s a sign!) that actually has nothing to do with their feelings towards each other. They’re on a hunt for this really old, expensive necklace that was hidden in the 1800s. It’s actually quite cool!
I want to say more but it’s really hard to go further into it without giving away the entire story. Just take my word for it, this book is a fun read. It’s super relatable, funny, and cute. Who doesn’t love a love triangle/romance in general? I’m a freaking sucker for this crap.
Anyways, I encourage you all to read this book! If you have any book recommendations for me, please let me know in the comment section below!! I’m actually thinking about sharing more books that I read in the future, does that sound like a good idea? I love to read almost as much as I love fashion. Why not combine the two?! Once again, lemme know your thoughts below!
Love you all! Happy Friday!
Having a good Good Friday so far? Ha-ha, play on words.
Welcome to this week’s post! I decided to share March’s inspiration. If you’ve already glanced below at the “mosaic” (that’s what WordPress calls it lol), you’ll notice that I’ve been obsessed with stripes and denim this month!! Literally obsessed though. I think I went on a serious hunt for a striped shirt this month and I was very picky about it. One was either too big (go figure) or the sleeves were too long or the stripes were too thin or too thick. Am I maniac? … Actually, don’t answer that hahaha!
But yeah! I wasn’t looking for just any stripes, I wanted nice blue and white stripes! The ‘nautical’ vibe. Similar to the pictures below.
As for denim, my love for denim is everlasting. In any shape or form. Denim is just never out of style and I love that. I feel like these inspiration posts/pictures are slowly becoming more “Spring-y”. Maybe it’s just me. But I definitely feel ready for Spring to get here.
So what have you guys been loving? Are you ready for Spring? What are you excited for? What have you been wearing a lot during the month of March? What has inspired you? I would love to hear about it in the comment section below!!
Have a fabulous Easter weekend. Love you all!
