I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: Best. Concert. Ever. Although I was getting over a cold and wasn’t in tip top shape, I still had the most memorable time seeing SZA perform live. I wasn’t able to sing along as loud as I may have wanted to but I did what I could, and hopefully SZA heard me lol. I know I’ve talked about my experience at the concert a few times in my last two posts so I won’t go on about it anymore. If you get the opportunity to see her and you love her music, you must go. I would even go to see her a second time (yes, it was that good)! For today’s post, I want to share with you my SZA outfit. And before I begin: No, I am not being sponsored for this post (although it might very much seem like it ha-ha). I do work for Reformation but it’s not why I’m writing.

When it comes to the perfect SZA outfit, you most definitely need a pair of baggy pants/cargo pants and a cropped or fitted top. It’s a simple SZA equation ha-ha. Or at least what seems to be her signature look. I had these loose cargo pants in my Reformation cart for a while before I realized these would be perfect for the concert. I think I actually ordered them a week before we were going to see her. (Am I the only one that tends to do these things last-minute?) I’m really happy it worked out because now I have these great pants to wear to work. They’re called the “Ethan Pants”, and they come in Petite! Yes, PETITE. If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you know how much I appreciate an option for petite women. Zero tailoring needed. Forget getting them hemmed! I know I used to go on and on about TOPSHOP Petite (I miss it so much) but now I’ve found petite options at Reformation and I feel complete again. If you’re intrigued by the Ethan Pants, click here. They come in a regular/average length as well. I picked up the “Dark Olive” colour but they also come in black. There’s also a linen version that comes in lighter colours that are perfect for spring & summer!
The top I’m wearing is actually a set, and also from Reformation. I’ve been seeing a lot of similar sets but I didn’t really love anything until I saw this one in-store. I love the ribbed detailing – this may be controversial to some people but I quite like it. It’s stretchy and hugs my body nicely. It’s called the Ruby Knit Cardigan Set and I got it in the colour “Bone”. One thing about Reformation is that they know how to make a good fit. I think every top I’ve tried on has shaped me in the best way. The cuts are always flattering. The price may deter you but if you think about the sustainable aspect of the brand, the quality, and the cut, it’s worth it.

When originally planning my outfit for this concert, I really wanted to wear blue. Blue because of the album cover. S.O.S. Save Our Ship. The Sea. Blue just made perfect sense but I couldn’t find anything. Instead, I wore blue eyeliner (that you can’t even see in these photos, but that’s besides the point). I was also going to wear butterfly clips, like my 15 year-old sister, but I just felt way too old. And the butterfly clips didn’t come in a neutral colour (I may have worn them if they were black lol). For accessories, I wore one of my new favourite bags that I haven’t shared on the blog yet and some jewelry from mostly Mejuri. The new bag was purchased from SSENSE and it’s by the brand Marge Sherwood. I am currently obsessed with all things Marge Sherwood. I have my eye on another bag that I think will be perfect for every day in the summer. (If you’re new here, I’m a bag fanatic.) The one that I currently have, and that you can see in the photos, is this chocolate brown purse with the cutest top handles. I love how high they come up. It looks super cute over your shoulder. For the concert I added the crossbody strap so it would be easier to move around and dance. If you follow me on Instagram (@tinyintoronto), you’ll see that I really have been loving this bag.

I was starting to notice that I haven’t uploaded an outfit post in a long time and I took my SZA outfit as the perfect opportunity to do so – I hope you enjoyed reading! I will write more outfit posts now that I’m taking more outfit photos. If you have any content you’d like to see from me, I’m always open to suggestions in the comment section 🙂
I hope you all have a great weekend! (I’m going to my niece’s first birthday party and I’m so excited!!!)
Until next time,
– Tiny ❤
