Pause #008

Okay, I disappeared… again. I moved this month and boy, that stuff takes a lot longer than I remember. Last time I moved, it was like, 2016? It’s been 6 years!!! I’m hoping I won’t have to move again for a while because the process is just too wild. Packing everything up, getting rid of stuff I don’t want, renting a UHaul, hauling everything to the new place, and then UNPACKING and giving everything a new home?!! It’s exhausting. I’m still in the unpacking-and-giving-everything-a-new-home stage. But I think I’m at a good spot where I can take a step back and breathe (kind of). So here I am! Hi! Hello! What’s new with you? (Please actually tell me in the comment section below – I wanna know!)

So I started crocheting a new scarf last night. It’s red and has this cute cable knit texture to it. I will be sharing it in an upcoming blog post so stay tuned for that. I’ve postponed a date with my boyfriend to the Toronto Christmas Market 3-4 times now because of the exhaustion mentioned above (we’re both exhausted but I’m the only one that complains about it). We’ve rescheduled to a week from now and hopefully this time it works out. If any of my readers have been to the Toronto Christmas Market this year, please tell me if it’s worth all this trouble lol. I’ve never been! I have lived in the city for 10 years and have never checked it out. Please tell me if it is or isn’t worth the hype!

My new job has been going well. I’ve been learning so much and I’m getting to a comfortable place where I think I’ve got the hang of it. I’ve worked in retail for over 10 years and it’s always interesting learning how each brand/company has a different way of doing things. Some are way more organized than others. Some have a completely different process for everything. It’s a lot to learn. Thankfully, Reformation has been one of the most organized brands I’ve ever worked for. Like I’ve said before, they really care about their people. I have come to realize that this brand really sets you up/gives you the tools you need for success. I love that there’s an answer to everything. But on top of learning all these operational things, I’m also trying to get to know the team! Long story short, it’s been lots of fun!

For the most part, my 3-week absence has been due to the move and learning the ropes at the new job. I promise to resume to regular scheduled programming next week *crosses fingers*! I still have my Niagara trip to share with you! Do you still want to hear about it/see pictures? I know it’s been about a month since that trip, but I had so much fun and wouldn’t mind sharing (even for my own benefit/documenting the memories). Let me know in the comment section if that’s something you’d wanna see.

Last but not least, I have one final note/exciting thing to share. I’m not guaranteeing anything but it’s been something in the works. My fellow blogger and best friend has asked to be a guest here. This basically means he’ll be writing a post for my blog sometime soon! I think this is a great way to give you a chance to read something different here. Let’s mix it up a little. What will his post be about? We’re not sure yet, but I can’t wait for you to meet him!

I hope you’re all having a wonderful weekend so far!

Until next time,

– Tiny ❤
