#GiftGood with Free People

I feel like I begin every blog post lately with: “Hey, I’m back! I said I was going to be back sooner, but things got in the the way, I’m sorry, etc.” Am I not wrong? I’m sad to say that today is no different. I am sorry that I haven’t been able to post sooner. I even posted on Instagram that I was going to have a new blog post up and I never did it. Life has been CRAZY. Before the end of the year, I will have a huge update to share with you, I promise. However, I’m happy and very excited to share one of the most exciting things that has ever happened to me today – and that’s something different! I don’t think y’all are going to believe me because I still haven’t quite wrapped my head around it but: FREE PEOPLE emailed me wanting a PAID partnership!!! If you’ve read my previous posts, you know that I work at a Free People store here in Toronto but this is entirely separate. A lovely woman emailed me from their head office in Philadelphia wanting me to create content with a few of their products because she simply enjoyed my Instagram feed. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?!

So for today’s post I’m going to share with you some of the content I took with my boyfriend for Free People’s “#GiftGood” campaign. It was such a pleasure working with them. This is my first paid partnership, ever. I feel like a legit influencer or rather “nano influencer” (I found this out recently). It truly was a pinch me moment. I remember getting the email while I was at work and I literally fell to the floor with my hands on my head in disbelief. I thought it was spam, or a scam. The good news is that it wasn’t lol. And believe it or not, they spoke about partnering with me again in the future!

Free People has this really cute campaign happening right now. It’s all about giving the best and most memorable gifts to our loved ones this year. They so kindly reached out and sent me so many cute pieces that I want to share with my blog family! I hope that maybe these will give you some ideas if you haven’t done your Christmas shopping yet! I know Christmas is only a week away but I, myself, am guilty of being a last-minute shopper and maybe you are, too. Here’s the first look:

I should begin by mentioning that every look is head-to-toe Free People. If you’d like links to items that I don’t really mention, please ask me in the comments! This first outfit makes me feel too cool. Yes, “too cool” as in too cool for my own good. Y’all know me! I’m a dork! I’m like a nerdy grandma but this outfit, it makes me feel cool. I think any piece to this outfit would be perfect for that loved one that loves trends and street style. This puffer jacket in this colour is hands down the coolest jacket I own right now. It’s called the “Duvet Bomber Jacket” and comes in many colours online! We only received two colours (orange and black) at our store so when I saw it in this colour, I was shocked. I’m really into this colour right now. If you can pinpoint the proper name for it, please tell me in the comment section? The website calls is “Golden Palm”.

These vegan leather pants are probably going to sell out. I don’t know about you but I feel like leather pants are becoming a staple. I almost want to say that I’ve been gravitating towards my leather pants more than jeans this season. Basically, I think leather or vegan leather pants have become a “must-have” and these are a fab option! They’re called “The It Factor Vegan Pants” and they come in three colours. I originally wanted the chocolate brown or “Mocha”, but they didn’t have my size available. I’ll leave a link to the pants here (because I really think you or your loved ones will LOVE them): It Factor Vegan Pants – Free People

The second look is something I’d wear to a holiday party. You could gift this outfit to someone but I think it’d be perfect to wear on NYE, to a Christmas work party, or even on Christmas Day. What is it about velvet and the holidays? Velvet or crushed velvet just seems so perfect for this time of year, what do you think? The “Gum Drop Mini Dress” is such a stunning dress. I can picture myself dressing it a bit more casually with cowboy boots (like I have in these photos), or even more formally/dressy with some heels and sparkly accessories! It’s such a good piece to have in your wardrobe and I think I’m going to have this little number as an emergency piece for holiday seasons to come.

Now I can’t move on to the next look without talking about the boots. If you’re a true Tiny In Toronto follower, you know I love my cowboy boots. I have two pairs that I’ve thrifted and I had been on a hunt this summer for a third pair that are white. Free People has these “We The Free Montage Tall Boots” and they come in so many other colours (literally like, 9 different colours). I have wanted these boots forever but I just haven’t been able to justify the price (even with my employee discount). I think it’s because I found such good pairs for $15 each that I can’t imagine paying over $400 for cowboy boots! HOWEVER, I think these boots are so unbelievably dreamy. I would have bought them already if I had $400 to throw around (but I don’t lol). If you have the money to treat yourself and you wear cowboy boots as much as I do, go for it. They’ve been super comfy so far and you can’t beat the quality.

The last few photos aren’t necessarily “looks” but more so of pieces that might make great gifts or additions to your own wardrobe. I’ll start off with these cute winter accessories that I can’t get enough of. First, I have had strangers stop me to compliment my cow print mittens. These mittens are SO ADORABLE. I think love does not begin to describe the feeling I have towards these mittens. I get so paranoid when commuting to work that I might lose one and cry. These would make such a great gift! I mean, it’s winter and we all need mittens anyway. Why not gift your friends some cute ones?

Wait- I actually have TWO pairs of mittens to share with you! If cow print is not your style, get the “Lazy Daisy Plush Set”. I’m OBSESSED. A fuzzy bucket hat and matching mittens? SIGN. ME. UP. I think this plush set is so fun and such a cute statement. It comes in three colour ways. I’m telling you, you just neeeeed it.

Hit The Slopes Printed Pullover

Another winter piece that I think you and your friends need is a fleece jacket. They’re EVERYWHERE now that they’ve been seen on some celebrities. The Free People “Hit The Slopes Jacket” is worth the hype. I bought one in lilac earlier this year but I had to get this navy colour (seen with the cow mittens above) for the winter. It’s just such a CUTE and COZY jacket. It’s super trendy but it’s also 100% practical. We’re not that deep into winter yet so I’ve been getting away with wearing it outside, but I don’t think it’s going to be enough when we’re deeper/in negative temperatures. I also think you could wear it in the early spring! It’s nice for those transition periods between seasons. If you’re not into the solid colours, Free People also carries printed versions of this jacket! You also have the option to pick a button-up version or a pullover version. Basically, there’s a fleece jacket suited for everyone at Free People ha-ha.

Last but not least, I have these slippers that I think would make a great gift for those who spend so much time at home – like your work-from-home friends! Give them the luxury of having fancy slippers to wear at their desk. I’m sure they’d love these “Emu Jolie Lava Slippers”. Emu Australia have them exclusively sold at Free People and they are SO SOFT. Honestly, they’re like clouds on your feet. Your friends will be so grateful. I do have to advise that you get a size up because I found that they’re so fluffy that they feel a little small. Either than that, you’re golden. I think slippers are a great gift. I’d be over the moon is someone got me slippers. I wear slippers around the apartment on a daily, so it’s not like I wouldn’t use them. And also, why not treat yourself?! You deserve it.

This concludes my little gift guide! I hope you guys enjoyed my picks/suggestions. Like I said before, you don’t have to necessarily buy these for your loved ones. GIFT YOURSELF. It’s been a tough few years for all of us and I think we need to start taking better care of ourselves. I mean, I know at least I do. Thank you to Free People for reaching out and giving me this opportunity. If I had to pick a dream collaboration/partnership, I think it would definitely be with them. So yeah, thanks for making a tiny woman’s dream come true!

I hope you’re all safe and well!

Until next time,

– Tiny ❤
