I’m sitting here and I can’t believe that I’m already on my fourth outfit post of the year. I’m also a little worried that this content isn’t as exciting as I’d hoped it would be. How do I mix this up while I’m stuck at home? Is there anything you guys want me to write about? I honestly wish I had a good book to recommend to you guys but unfortunately, the first two books of the year weren’t real page turners. The good news is that I’m already on my third book! I just need a fourth before the end of the month and I think I’ll be right on track to making that 50 book goal of mine! Isn’t that crazy? I’m honestly pretty proud so far.
Anyways, like I said, I’ve hit a road block in terms of my content ideas. I’ve decided to take a break from YouTube so I don’t think I’ll be doing “Monthly Favourites” anymore. If you’d like me to continue to share the things I love every month, please let me know in the comment section below! But yeah, there aren’t a lot of ideas flowing at the moment. Maybe you’d like to see what I get up to crochet-wise? I’m really open to anything! If you have any suggestions, you know where to leave them!
Now for today’s outfit, I’m actually sharing one of my most recent creations! I stumbled upon this gorgeous thick yarn from Michael’s and I’m absolutely in love with it. It’s making all of my chunky yarn creation dreams come true. My Instagram feed is full of all these knitted pieces using this gorgeous thick yarn and I haven’t been able to find anything similar! This is the closest thing that I can find without going to a specialty yarn store and I’m pretty satisfied. The list of projects that I wanna do just keeps growing!
The first thing I made with this thick yarn is the sweater vest that I’m wearing. I think I’m going to need a bigger hook so I ordered one (as well as more colours of that yarn lol). I love how thick it turned out but I want it to be even bulkier! My favourite part to this sweater vest is the neck. The sweater itself honestly didn’t take me long at all. It took two days and would have taken less time if I hadn’t had to redo the neck. I was very adamant on making the neck as bulky as possible, but then I went a little overboard – but that’s okay! I learned something new.
For the rest of the outfit, I added these faux leather pants that I’m actually super shocked still fit me. They’re from TOPSHOP Petite. I honestly thought they were going to be too tight, so that was a nice surprise. I wore my favourite chunky Adidas sneakers that I ordered online from SSense last year. I added a children’s New York Yankees hat that my brother got me for Christmas years and years ago, and a pink sheer super scrunchie from Free People. The jewelry that I’m wearing is of course, Mejuri. And the bag is also not a surprise. It’s my latest bag from Nunoo: the Bobby bag!
HAT – Christmas gift
SWEATER VEST – made by yours truly!
FAUX LEATHER PANTS – Topshop Petite
SNEAKERS – Adidas at SSense
BAG – Nunoo
I really love this outfit. I wish I had somewhere to go to in this outfit. I think I would wear this either shopping or to grab lunch with my friends on the weekend? What is your favourite thing to do on the weekend? And pretend we aren’t in a pandemic and can’t go anywhere lol. Leave your answers in the comment section!
I hope you’re all safe and well.
Until next time,
– Tiny ❤
