GIMME SUNSHINE

Last weekend was all sunshine and I think it was exactly what I had been needing. I feel reenergized. I feel like I’m in the most positive of spirits, and it’s great! Do you guys feel a change in your mood when the sun is out? I feel it drastically. I don’t know if it’s all in my head but I feel an immediate boost. It gives me all of the energy! I was super motivated and it encouraged me to go outside and take some outfit photos! To be quite honest, I almost thought it was Spring!

You’ll be shocked to see what I wore given the fact that days prior I was wearing a full-on parka, a scarf, and a winter hat. There are a lot of favourite pieces in this outfit but I have to start with this Mickey Mouse graphic t-shirt. It’s a vintage shirt that my boyfriend ordered from Uncle Vintage, a local secondhand boutique. He loves it there and I’ve found quite a few treasures there myself – like this t-shirt! I highly recommend you check them out! Here’s their website: http://www.shopunclevintage.com On top of this super cool t-shirt, I layered one of my new favourite jackets from Free People: the infamous “Dolman jacket”. If you’re a Free People fanatic, you’ll know that this jacket sells like crazy (it’s actually sold out again). People RAVE about it. It comes in a ton of different colours and it honestly lives up to the hype. I love the quilted texture to it. It’s soft. I love this brown colour. It’s just an awesome oversized jacket that I can see myself wearing for years.

The pair of pants that I’m wearing is an oldie but a goodie. I picked these up where I get most of my pants, the TOPSHOP Petite section. They’re these black lightweight pleated pants that are covered in silver polka dots. They’re obviously the perfect length because the TOPSHOP Petite section never disappoints. The elastic waist is a bonus especially with this weight that I’ve gained in the past year. This outfit is just all-around cozy! Oversized t-shirt, oversized quilted jacket, AND flow-y pants with an elastic waist?! That’s all-around comfort. I don’t think it looks at all sloppy, do you? What I’m trying to say is that you can dress comfortable and still look stylish! 2020 taught me that.

Okay so, although I’m wearing printed pants and a t-shirt with a huge colourful graphic on it, I obviously felt like the outfit needed more. More is more! I also feel like we need fun and uplifting outfits these days. I think we should add on all of the fun accessories! I also think that since I’m not really going out or seeing anybody, I have the confidence to wear what I really want to wear. For this outfit in particular, I added a green fuzzy bag and these fun sunglasses with yellow lenses that are both from Free People (I’m sorry! I work there ok?!). For jewelry, I added a thick rope chain necklace from that favourite Korean boutique of mine on Queen St. West: Durumi (@thedurumi on Instagram).

The shoes are one of my best finds. I never have any luck with finding my size in shoes at Zara. But these loafers were offered in a size 5 and I just HAD to have them. Loafers are such a huge trend right now. I’m having such a fun time styling them (especially with sparkly socks like the ones I’m wearing in these photos). They kind of give me a Prada vibe that I’m of course not mad about ha-ha. Let me know in the comment section below if you’re a loafer lady or lad like myself!

I’m really digging my outfits that I’ve put together this year so far. They’re fun and they make me happy! I love when an outfit can change your whole mood/the way you carry yourself. I’m not going to lie, I think my boyfriend and I get our best shots when I’m in a good outfit. All this confidence comes out of nowhere. I wish I could share with you all what it feels like! It’s just great.

I hope you’re all safe and well, and are keeping a positive attitude! Good things are coming!

Until next time,

– Tiny ❤
