It’s time to kick off the outfit posts for the year! I’m so excited to see what kind of outfits I’ll be putting together. I wonder what kind of trends I’ll get caught up in this year. What do you predict will be trendy? I’m hoping that the crochet trend will stick around throughout the year because I’m loving making my own clothes.
If you’re wondering about the title of this post: 2020 was pretty gloomy, wouldn’t you say? Although it was indeed a gloomy/cloudy day, I chose to wear lots of colour to manifest a far less gloomy new year!
The outfit that I’m sharing today includes a knitted cardigan that I would so very much like to recreate if I could get my hands on these kinds of yarns. I’m not sure if you can tell in the photos, but the yarns used to create this cardigan are so pretty and soft. It’s just such great quality and most definitely not from Michael’s Craft Store lol. I picked up this sweater during Free People’s sale. We had an additional 50% off all of our sale items! Our merchandise is NEVER that cheap/heavily discounted! It was wild. I may have gotten a little carried away with it but I am so happy with what I picked up that I have zero regrets. Stay tuned for those pieces to be featured in future outfit posts!
This cardigan that I’m wearing seems to no longer be on the website. So I unfortunately can’t link it for you. But there are so many great knits on http://www.freepeople.com if you want to check it out! If I had all the money in the world, I would most definitely pick up more.
For the rest of the outfit, I wore those snakeskin flared pants that I picked up at the beginning of the fall season. They are unbelievably comfortable and I love how they’re not tight against my tummy. I’ve been wearing them an embarrassing amount. Their length is also perfect for my short legs. I picked them up at the TOPSHOP Petite section. If you’re a tiny girl like me, and haven’t heard this from me before, I HIGHLY recommend TOPSHOP Petite for tiny women. Everything fits so perfectly and they’re trendy pieces at an affordable price! I get all of my pants there. I also picked up this Britney Spears graphic t-shirt from TOPSHOP a couple of years ago, when I worked there. It’s been one that I always go back to. It goes with so much. And I mean, who doesn’t love Britney? She played a very important part in my childhood.
Now for the accessories! You guys know I love my Gola sneakers. They were such a nice surprise. I bought these sneakers because I was drawn to the colours but now after wearing them, I’m hooked!!! They’re so comfortable and I love how they look with everything. I would definitely get another pair if I had a reasonable excuse ha-ha. My little charcoal grey beret is by yours truly. I made this beret with the little pom-pom on top, and I’m absolutely obsessed with it! You guys know I have an obsession with berets in general. I wear them every year. I have a collection of them. But now that I know how to make them, I want to make one in every colour imaginable! That’s probably a little too much but you guys know what I mean.
The bag is new! I got it a while ago but was waiting for the right outfit to have my OMW bag make it’s debut here on the blog. First of all, this brand is Canadian. They’re designed and hand-made in Vancouver, Canada – which is amazing! I love to support fellow Canadians. They’re made with vintage, dead stock or upcycled fabrics and every bag is one of a kind. You can visit Olivia’s website at http://www.omwbags.ca or check out her Instagram @omw.bags! I love my OMW bag and it’s honestly so beautifully made.

Alright, there you have it! I’ve officially posted the first outfit blog post of 2021! I am very hopeful, like I said in my last post, for what this year will bring. Keeping a positive mindset is what I plan to focus on and so far it’s working. As long as I’m doing my best and putting positive energy out into the universe, I’m sure some great things will come!
I hope you’re all having a great day! Remember that there’s so much to be thankful for.
Until next time,
– Tiny ❤
