Parisian Wannabe 4ever

Hey everyone! We all know that I want to go to Paris, I’m studying French, and I watched Emily in Paris about five times (and counting). Just when you thought I couldn’t possibly take this obsession any further, I’ve somehow managed to lol.

I MADE MY OWN BERET Y’ALL!

I got this really colourful yarn and it spoke to me. It said, “Please make me into a beret!” So I did exactly that. And she’s not only a colourful beret, but a beret with a POM-POM! Yes, I learned how to make pom-poms as well. However, I think pom-poms are more difficult than the actual crochet part. I’m not even joking! It took so many tries to get a nice round and full-looking pompom. The first five were kind of scraggly (to say the least).

Now this yarn was thicker than what I’m used to. I think I might have had a better result if I used a bigger crochet needle, but it still turned out really well for my first ever beret. I think I’m going to make a couple more before I start offering to make them for anybody. I didn’t get enough elasticity or stretch in this one as I would have liked. I love the colours though. This beret, especially with the pom-pom, kind of reminds me of a hat someone would wear at a golf course, and I kinda love that.

For these photos, I just wanted to be playful and share with you the beret more than anything. I threw on these black denim overalls that I have worn in a previous post. They are super comfy and from Free People. I’ve actually been wearing them so much because they’re easy to wear and I can move around in them without feeling restricted in any way. Overalls are honestly the best. Underneath, I actually wore the same top that I wore in my last outfit post! Like I said then, this top is so versatile. It’s also pretty trendy right now because I’m seeing huge collars literally everywhere.

As you can see in these mirror photos, I am not wearing shoes lol. That’s because realistically, I’m not going anywhere! I’m in lockdown here in Toronto. I’m not really working. Typically, I’m home, filthy, in bed, and crocheting or reading my life away. It sounds awful but it’s the new normal. On this day, I obviously showered but I couldn’t be bothering to add shoes to the outfit. Is it lazy? Or maybe I just wanted you guys to see these cute socks I got at work! We have so many fun ones at Free People. It’s sounds pricey, but you can get 3 pairs of socks for $40 CAD. One pair is $16. I know, they’re expensive. But if you try them, they’re soft, cozy, and great quality!

OVERALLS – Free People

Socks – Free People

JEWELRY – Mejuri

HAT – made by yours truly!

Holy moly, everything is from Free People, eh? How original. Thinking about starting another sweater in my near future. ALSO, I think I’m about to just dive in on this whole business idea. I’ve done a poll on Instagram, the followers say it’s what they want. But if you think I’m making a big mistake, please speak now or forever hold your peace!

Hope you’re all safe and well! Thank you so much for paying attention to my lunacy, it’s much appreciated.
