Book Review: Midnight Sun by Stephanie Meyer

I know what you’re going to say. You’re going to ask me: why in the world are you still reading the Twilight series when you’re 27 years-old?! I mean, you have a fair point lol. BUT you guys don’t even know how obsessed I was during the “Twilight” era! I obviously have read the entire “Twilight” saga. Duh. No-brainer. I remember when I was in high school that I would sit in this chair in our living room and read every book (Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn) from beginning to end, all in one day! I was hooked! Clearly, I still am!

I think what most people assume with “Midnight Sun” is that it’s just going to be a complete regurgitation of “Twilight“, but in Edward’s perspective instead of Bella’s. Like, basically an easy way for Stephanie Meyer to make more money. Again, a fair point. I will admit that I had my doubts. I went in not expecting anything special so my expectations were quite low. I know how the story goes. How different can it actually be?

GUYS.

I was SO SURPRISED at how much I didn’t want the book to end! I felt like I was in high school again! I found that I wanted to take my time with it because I’m assuming this will be the very last time I’ll be able to be a part of Bella and Edward’s world. I loved Midnight Sun. You heard it here. I mean, if you follow my Instagram, you probably already know how much I enjoyed it. I rated it a 10/10. I guess if this was Goodreads I would give it 5 stars.

There are a lot of things that you would never have expected. I don’t want to ruin anything for you because I do want you to read it if you’re intrigued. Edward had a lot going on that we didn’t know about. Bella didn’t know everything! Edward kept some stuff from her! The series of events are basically the same. I knew generally what was going to happen next, but Edward’s thoughts and what he was feeling at the time are not what I expected. It was interesting and I really think you guys need to pick up a copy. Go to your local library or pick up a copy at your local book store!

This book came to me at a great time. I needed an escape. I needed some cheesy teenage fiction. If you think you need an escape, check out “Midnight Sun” by Stephanie Meyer :))

I hope you’re all having a great week! Stay safe!

Until next time,
