Happy Saturday everyone! I hope you’re having a great end to your week! If you’re new here, you’ll soon discover that I like to post what I wore last week every Saturday. I take a photo of my outfit either before or while I’m at work and then share all the photos here in one post. I’ve just recently gotten back into a groove so I hope you’ll forgive me if I forget any details. Now I’ll stop rambling and show you what I wore!
Outfit #1: One thing that has been taking me a while to get used to is waking up early. I think it’s safe to say that I am not a morning person. I mean, I’m really trying to be! I think those people that can get up super early and get a lot of work done probably feel way more productive. I need that! Maybe it’s my diet or maybe I’m not going to bed early enough, but getting up at 5:30AM has been hard (to say the least). This day was one of those days and you can easily tell by my tired face and the darker lighting lol. Like holy moly, the sun wasn’t even out yet!? Anyways, I wore this really cute top that I thrifted with my copper corduroy jacket over it. On the bottom, I wore my long denim skirt with slits at the sides and tights underneath because well, Winter. For shoes I wore these chunky hiking boots that kind of gave me a Prada vibe but are from TOPSHOP. They’re black and have this silver metallic colour that I love and think brings more to every outfit.
Outfit #2: You guys have probably seen some variation of this outfit in the past but it’s kind of a go-to for me! What’s different is that I added a beret! For those of you that don’t know this about me, I am obsessed with berets. I have a little bit of a collection. This is a pink one from TOPSHOP. I am a complete sucker for a beret. The top I’m wearing is an old one from TOPSHOP that I can’t picture myself ever letting go. It’s my “Emma Roberts top”. You guys know this if you’ve been reading my blog for a while. Long story short is that she wore this top on Instagram and there were no second thoughts when it came to buying it. I had to have it. To pair with this top, I usually wear a pair of light washed jeans. These jeans that I’m wearing are “Straight” jeans from TOPSHOP that I think I got for $15. And finally, I wore these white tube socks because I can’t handle my ankles being exposed to the cold Winter air with my checkered slip-on Vans sneakers.
Outfit #3: My favourite outfit of the week! I scored this sick jacket from Urban Outfitters. They were having an additional 40% off all of their sale items so I absolutely had to go check it out. There were only TWO of these jackets left! I think I walked away having only paid $72 when it was originally $180! Underneath this jacket, I wore a simple white long-sleeve shirt and added my beautiful long leopard print skirt for a bottom. It’s from their Petite section and has slits in it as well. I find this shape and style to be really flattering! I also added fishnet tights from TOPSHOP and my patent combat boots that are also from TOPSHOP. And last but not least, the headband that I am wearing is from Zara. I saw someone on Instagram wearing it and I loved the whole Frida Kahlo vibe.
Outfit #4: Another early morning for me so I really wanted to be comfortable. It was later in the week so the week was starting to catch up to me. I was getting tired and having to wake up early again made me want to just wear my pyjamas! This outfit was the closest thing to it. I wore these pleated polka dot pants from TOPSHOP. They’re made with this really light material, it’s kinda silky, and very similar to pyjamas. I wore a pink Fleetwood Mac graphic t-shirt that I also picked up from TOPSHOP. Graphic t-shirts are so easy and comfortable, especially when they’re oversized! To add my personality and to make this outfit a little more weird/interesting, I decided to mix patterns. I threw on over top of the graphic t-shirt a plaid button-down shirt that I thrifted but I think was originally purchased from Brandy Melville. To make it girly and a little more elevated, I added fun earrings. They’re dangly and sparkly with pink fluffy pompoms (holy adjectives lol). I get a ton of compliments on these earrings and I also got them from TOPSHOP. To stick to the whole comfy vibe, I wore my favourite go-to sneakers: Converse.
Outfit #5: Speaking of comfy, you all need to get yourselves a BFF sweater from Free People! The coziest thing I own right now is this sweater. There are a ton of different colours. I think there’s definitely a colour for everyone. It looks good on everyone, and it is unbelievably soft. I love it. I could sleep in it. I feel like I’m being hugged all day long. No joke. For pants, I wore these flared pants that are made with this stretchy cotton material. They kind of fit like leggings but flare at the bottom. Again, they’re also super comfortable. The shoes I wore, to make it a little more elevated, are these white heeled booties with a pointed toe. They’re an old purchase (I think from last Summer) from TOPSHOP. For an accessory (and some more colour), I added The Heathers Scrunchie from Twentyseven (@twentyseventoronto). My friend Olivia owns this salon and sells them for $30. I honestly wear it SO MUCH. It saves my outfits. It makes everything feel more put together. This scrunchie is also super easy to wear. I tie my hair with it into a super sloppy bun and it looks like a freaking masterpiece.
That’s another week of outfits for you! I hope you guys enjoyed it :)) I’ve been thinking lately about doing this in the form of a video. What do you guys think? Let me know in the comment section below!
Until next time!
